About
Located close to the San Tan Mountains, the course at the Lone Tree Golf Club offers not only a good game but also beautiful mountain views. This championship golf course was done in a traditional desert-style with rolling fairways and fast greens that are large and undulating. There are also several sand bunkers that protect both the fairways and the greens. Water hazards come into play on five holes and extensive mounding adds further challenge. The course features four sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Lone Tree Golf Club boasts extensive practice facilities including a targeted grass range, a large putting green, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Nice course, good value
Played at a decent pace, good condition.
Well managed.

The weather has been in the 90's the last week and the course shows it. Many brown areas in the fairways and some greens. They need to water MORE!
Not the best condition
Lone Tree GC did not live-up to past experiences. Tee boxes were inconsistent (some shaggy and sloped, while others were fabulous), fairways also varied, greens were SLOW (with fertilizer crystals making it almost impossible to play), sand traps were lacking sand (making it very challenging to have a controlled escape), and rough was indeed very rough (aerating much of the areas around greens). Pace was good. I shall hope that LT will be improving significantly for the summer months when I return to give it another chance.

Course is staying in great shape for how much play it gets this time of year.
Poor Golf Course
Lone Tree is the worst golf course we have ever played. Hard dirt pack and very little grassy areas. The greens were so-so. Other than the starter, the staff is unfriendly. The carts are old and the brake pedal in our cart did not work. We will "never" play this course again; and don't waste your money!

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate it. Every course will be going through a transition time over the the next month or two as we have the winter grass die off and the Bermuda grass coming out of dormancy. We have increased the watering, laid fertilizer, and started to aerate some trouble areas. This work should guarantee a successful transition as the warmer weather arrives. Unfortunately, it does not happen over night so stay patient. We hope to see you at The Tree soon!
