About
del Lago Golf Club sits at an elevation of 3,400 feet, enjoying a temperature that is five degrees cooler than Tucson in the summer, which makes a big difference under the hot Arizona sun. Winding through the hills and valleys of the high desert, the golf course features over 120 feet of elevation changes that present tricky uneven lies. The dramatic undulations also offer beautiful views of the Rincon and Santa Catalinas Mountain ranges. Golfers start at the highest point on the course and then play down into the valley before getting to the back nine, which plays along the Pantano Wash. The first hole is the only forced carry on the course, the remaining holes are friendlier off the tees. Seven lakes dot the golf course, coming into play on six holes, and there is also heavy bunkering around the greens.

Great course. Enjoy playing this course. Course in great shape. Sand traps need work. But no problem if you don't land in them..

Awesome Greens Excellent Shape
From the first hole to the last the experience was wonderful except for when I screwed up. It wasn't the course's fault as everything was in excellent shape on a beautiful day. I can only look forward to next time.

Good Play Yet Challenging
Front nine play was difficult due to 25-30+ winds. Back nine winds somewhat reduced, but still very challenging. The course is in good shape with greens running well. Did not like the plastic shields the club has placed in golf carts to "separate" players. With the high winds, I thought I thought I was going to sail down the cart paths.

Challenging and fair
I played twice in the past week. It's a bit pricey but it was the closest decent course to my location in Sierra Vista. There is a tee box for all skill levels. Lots of dog legs so you need to know your distances. It was also a bit firm so your ball ran quite a bit so factor that into your tee shots. LOts of tight lies in the fairway and more so off the fairways as the grass was dormant and the golf carts had it packed down in lots of places. Greens were smooth and ran true. Average speed.
I will play again.

One of the best in Tucson
Always loved playing this course. Great layout. Only one flaw I could point out. Sand traps need to be worked on. Looking forward to another round soon.

Good layout
Good shape fairways and greens, good layout with no surprises. They need to work on sand traps . Get the one inch rocks out of them.

Great Course
Checked 20 some courses to play. Chose Del Lago. Glad we did. Best course around for value. Had good reviews. And course was in great shape. Sand traps need work, but otherwise rest of course good.

Nice layout
Lots of beginner golfers. 5 hours plus!
Would stay away from weekends in the future.

Need your complete game.
Just fun. Some great opportunities to let out the shaft and hit the ball. Accuracy important. Good length on the par threes. Some risky carries. Not the toughest i he ever played but definitely a joy. Makes you earn your pars and birdies are hard to come by. I will be back.
