Bear Creek Golf Complex - Cub Course
About
The Bear Creek Golf Complex offers two golf courses, one championship length course and one executive length course, the Cub Course. This sporty course is ideal for beginners and families. Like its sister course, the Bear Course, there are rolling fairways and well-manicured greens that have unique swales and collection areas. The design features five par 4s and the rest are par 3s, all of which vary in length. A round of golf on the Cub Course can be completed in less than three hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex also boasts several practice facilities including a lighted driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Course conditions
For a Municipal course. It’s in excellent condition.
Very good tee boxes, very good fairways, and excellent greens!. One of the best values for the money in the state.
Good times
Took my 8yo out to play the cub course. Had a blast. Greens were holding and rolled great. On the slow side but that’s fine for me teaching the little guy.
There were some dry and dead spots throughout the course. Tee boxes were mostly dirt.
Great place to take beginners to learn. Practice facility isn’t anything to complain about as long as you have grass to hit off of. Looking forward in going back again.
Cheers,
Dwight
Surprisingly good condition
Course was not in bad condition at all . I also really enjoyed talking to some of the staff members
Great little course
Cub course is a great course for beginners how want to come out and have a good time
Needs cart paths...
Overall this was a very nice 59 par course. My wife and I are beginners and found this to be a great choice. A few times we had a difficult time finding the next hole. I believe hole 9 had no tee box marker at all and another golfer was also having a problem making sure it was the correct hole. Also, the lack of very many cart paths made it a little difficult to traverse, but it wasn’t too bad overall. I believe the next time we play we will have no problems at all. The course was in very good conditions and the greens were excellent!
good for working your short game
I like this course for working the short game. However, the grass is very spotty. Seems like the sprinkler system doesn't have good coverage because there are patches of nice green grass mixed in with dry, dead grass everywhere.
Great time, can play 18 holes in a short amount of time
Course in Transition
Staff always great here. Course is transitioning from winter to summer so conditions not great, but expected for the price. Greens still excellent and rolling great, fairways okay, tee boxes were terrible. Many signs for holes either missing or laying on the ground, not sure why that is. Played early afternoon in 70 degrees, surprisingly course pretty empty, finished in two hours.
Flags
Today who was putting out the flags does not know the color system ...so we had blue flags in the front red flags in the middle it was totally mixed up, on about four holes on the Cub ...but greens much better than a month ago
Quick play
For the price you can’t beat this course. It is a great short game course to work your iron play.
