Bear Creek Golf Complex - Cub Course
About
The Bear Creek Golf Complex offers two golf courses, one championship length course and one executive length course, the Cub Course. This sporty course is ideal for beginners and families. Like its sister course, the Bear Course, there are rolling fairways and well-manicured greens that have unique swales and collection areas. The design features five par 4s and the rest are par 3s, all of which vary in length. A round of golf on the Cub Course can be completed in less than three hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex also boasts several practice facilities including a lighted driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Little course
Coming from out of state it was a decent course,The staff was very nice and I liked that they put your clubs in your cart for you.when you finish the workers asked if you would like your clubs cleaned,I liked that.Overall it was a good experience.
Slow play
Too many novice players slowing play down today. Other than that course in great nick.
Nice course, nice staff, conditions weren’t pro level but they were great for a public course. I would come back again.
First bear cub
My wife and I played the Cub course for the first time today. It is a nice little course. Fun and not too hard. There were a lot of areas with standing water. A lot of mosquitoes too. I assume they are from the standing water areas. That in my opinion needs to be addressed. In the interim they could pour bleach in the big ones. I know that will be hard on the grass but, until we know for sure weather or not Covid is transmitted by those little blood suckers, better safe than sorry.
Nice Shape
With 6 inches of rain in the last month, fairways and greens are much improved and in nice shape. However, with all that rain there is quite a bit of standing water, Course has drained nicely into those areas, though. Staff always friendly and professional.
Bang for buck
Fairways and greens are always good quality here. I’ve ran into several nice people that play here as well. Course is well maintained and really fair priced.
Surprisingly Good Condition
This course was in very nice condition, due in part to all the recent rains. Definitely worth playing again.
Laid back, Fun and easy course
Open and forgiving, not very long. Not many hazards at all. Great tune up course for the irons if you hadn't played in a while. For playing early morning in the middle of monsoon season, the course was green and very playable. Would recommend.
Course conditions
For a Municipal course. It’s in excellent condition.
Very good tee boxes, very good fairways, and excellent greens!. One of the best values for the money in the state.
Good times
Took my 8yo out to play the cub course. Had a blast. Greens were holding and rolled great. On the slow side but that’s fine for me teaching the little guy.
There were some dry and dead spots throughout the course. Tee boxes were mostly dirt.
Great place to take beginners to learn. Practice facility isn’t anything to complain about as long as you have grass to hit off of. Looking forward in going back again.
Cheers,
Dwight
