Sundance Golf Club

I waited an hour for a cart. Made it all of half of a hole before the cart would not even operate over a hill. This is ridiculous. I've been here multiple times at the carts are always ancient issue. Either they don't pass them out or they keep them in the corral. I had to call the phone number and spoke to the call center to even contact the clubhouse for them to bring me another cart.

Cart shortage delayed round by an hour and pace of play was incredibly slow! Total round was 6 hours long. Stay away until they figure out their cart shortage issues.

Didn’t have a charged up golf cart when it was time to tee off. Driving range tees need to be moved. Hit off sand instead of grass. Seems to be lack of communication when it comes to cost for 15 & under. We were told they were free but now say half off after speaking with the manager. When you book online it doesn’t ask ages….they have some communication issues.

I enjoy the course layout but it took almost 6 hours to play for a party of 4 to golf 18 holes due to a 45 minute delay related to lack of golf carts and the typical compression of too many tee times loaded too close together. Fortunately it was a beautiful Phoenix day for golf so we didn’t mind being together on the course.

They use a 3rd party phone concierge service that doesn’t link up with the actual pro shop so especially if you’re single, you can go up there and they won’t have a tee time. The directions don’t match the address on GolfNow, but I must say the staff is very nice and accommodating. It’s just a shame they have to deal with that.

The club had a problem with carts. No carts were available. 30 minutes after our scheduled t time we were still 5th in linwe waiting for a cart to come in. WE DIDN'T GET TO PLAY THE COURSE. WE LEFT.

Waited 30 minutes after allotted tee time to receive my golf cart, very spastic check in, overall the course was in great condition and had a good time playing, most of my gripes from playing yesterday was that the course was overbooked. 3 parties on a single hole all day long even after 3pm. Golf carts could use some upgrades. Maybe I’m used to premium courses, but if I’m going to be paying $75 a round, I feel like having a built in cooler, course management, etc. should be better. If it wasn’t so close to my house, I don’t think I would be playing here again.

Sundance is a great bargain, & a very nice track. It’s deceivingly difficult. It could be a great day for anybody wanting to have a fun day… Could be….

But here’s what’s happening…..

Not enough carts, marshals or staff…

The bunkers are only worked about once a week, Just not enough staff to maintain the course. Today, I had to play the last 3 holes behind a nine some!!!! NINE!!! They were buddies, & started as 3 threesomes… marshals could prevent that…

But here’s the biggest problem right now, not enough carts! They only have 80 carts, & I hear +/- 25 of them are non operational &/or can’t get around the course without experiencing a dead battery. Today, I passed a stranded two some. They had been there for 40 minutes before being picked up by staff!!!

One more thing, as I was making the turn today, there were approximately 40 people standing around waiting for carts to return so they could play golf…

The course conditions were favorable and the staff very accommodating, however the ownership needs we have adequate golf carts. We had two battery powered carts that we had to push up hills and finally made it back to the club house after the front nine, only to find out there were no replacement carts available.

Nonetheless management made adjustments and we had a good time!

Pace was so slow ,course has no ranger's 5some ahead and slower than all get out ,didn't even try to pick up pace at least 6 holes there was 3 groups waiting to tee off ,on 5 all tree trimmings still on ground 8f they can get cleaned up b a big help for that hole

Relatively boring. There’s are a bunch of bad holes with forced layups, blind layups, no clue how far the runout area is. Just not a good course. Nice price, but not worth it. My last time there. Sorry.

Course in great condition. Challenging as always. Some tough pin placements and greens were pretty fast. 4 hour round with a foursome

First time I’ve ever golfed with a cart delay. They had 20 carts broken for over a month. I had an 11:22 tee time and finally got out there at 12:50. If you know your carts are jacked, advertise that. Don’t trick people into coming there knowing you won’t have carts.

Also, offering free range balls doesn’t fix that problem.
