Sundance Golf Club

The management is more intent on jamming as many golfers into the tee sheet as possible regardless of the effects or consequences. My tee time was slotted for 1154 AM we did not tee of until 1:30 PM. There are not enough golf carts and many of the ones that they are using can't get through 18 holes.

I played Sundance for the second time. The first was cart path only so pace was slow. But today, no restrictions and everything was moving smoothly. The course is in beautiful condition after over seeding and they now have soft white sand in the bunkers. This place is now my new go to. With the price being around $55 man, you cannot beat it!

Waited over an hour past tee time before finally being able to get a cart and tee off. Pace of play was the worst i ever seen. Nobody monitoring pace of play on a busy SATURDAY. People coming back and bringing carts into parking lot when they had no carts to turn around at the time causing a massive buildup of people waiting far past their tee times for their turns. Asked for a refund and was only given a rain check instead. Unbelievable and worst golf experience I’ve had to date.

I normally give fairly positive reviews, but I just can't do that with this course. When we arrived we were told the course was 10 minutes behind. Not a good sign, but not terrible. One hour AFTER our tee time we finally got a cart. One group coming off the 18th who was 30-40 minutes behind the group in front of them gave everyone waiting for a cart an attitude about them being slow. Like it was our fault they played slow and ruined everyone else's day. One of their group ran around like he wanted to fight someone since the cart people drove back to find out why they still hadn't shown up after 30-40 minutes. Unbelievable. People like this need to be banned from all golf course. They even drove the cart out into the parking lot when there are signs clearly stating not to do this. On a positive note you can see that they are trying to make an effort to make the course better. They have updated the pro shop and the hitting bays at the range. I think they have updated the restaurant/bar too. They need to install a Marshall/Ranger to deal with the slow play and obnoxious people.

The on-course management is horrible. The greens were not very good. Nothing would putt true. The fairways were so/so. Some were pretty decent while other were extremely thin.

Because of the terrible course management and the clientele this place attracts I will never come here again.

I booked a 6:02 AM tee time and I should have looked at the sunrise time. It was pitch black out, my first time playing the course and the guy tells me tough luck, you booked it. Tee off in the dark. No idea where the green or pin is except that it’s somewhere straight ahead. Second shot still couldn’t see. They didn’t seem to care much that they’re selling tee times in the dark. Course was fine otherwise.

The course condition was not too bad, but the greens were a little slow. My biggest frustration was the condition of their golf carts was not great and our big battery began running out on the second hole and had to be replaced on the fourth unable to advance. The layout is challenging if the player is unfamiliar with the course because of the many arroyos that crisscross the fairways.

Course was a tremendous value and priced very fairly, especially for this time of year. Conditions were very good; a few low spots were a little wet and a couple of spots in the fairway were a little sparse as they just opened after overseed. Greens were in great shpe.

Course is fairly undulating, so you don't always get a flat lie. Pace was a little slow but not bad, finished in 4:30. Staff was friendly.

There are two holes that my friend calls “Mickey Mouse” holes. No. 5 has two fairways, then you hit over a wash to get to the green. And No. 11, you hit about 200 yds, then go over a wash to get to the green. Overall, I like this course. It’s in good shape, greens played pretty fast. We got delayed about half an hour because we reed off and as we were driving to our balls, the golf cart almost died. We had to go back, get another cart, which held us back couple of tee times. Fortunately, we were paired with couple of really fun guys. Had a good time.

I have never played so slow, literally 5.5 hours to finish round of 18 holes, the group in front of us was terrible no etiquette and slow buying beers in the middle of putting Cmon!! We asked ranger to have them speed up and he said there’s nothing I can do really?? How about doing your job?? Last time I’ll go here
