Wolf Creek Golf Course
About
Since 2001 Wolf Creek has earned a reputation as one of the toughest golf tracks in the Atlanta Metro area. Wolf Creek boasts a 7028 yard par 72 championship layout with bent grass greens which is just one of the reasons Golf Digest selected Wolf Creek as the best course near Hartsfield Jackson Airport. The Mike Young Designs course incorporates both low flatlands holes, bordering many wetland areas, and holes with dramatic elevation changes. Wolf Creek has four sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. A practice range and practice green allow for serious work on your golf game or just a warm-up before your round.

Great Round
The corse is in great shape greens are excellent and the staff is out replacing the sand traps. Can’t wait for the fairways to green up!
Above average
Good course pace of play lil slow greens good shape have to be able to hit good irons shots a lot of the greens are protected by sand traps, and you have to clear hazards to hit the greens a lot of 2 shot hole
Long course, but no amenities
This course was long and some holes were fun and challenging play, but others were confusing. Kind of pricey considering there are no amenities, food or beverages. Only had chips/snacks and water/sodas, also only 1 porta pottty. We still enjoyed the day, but...
Don’t travel to play
When I started playing this course over 15 years ago it was a beautiful maintained course. In its current state not so desirable. I play it when I am in the ATL because of its proximity to my relatives. I must say while playing they were doing some work cutting trees and repairing bunkers. At its current condition, play only because of convenience. Hoping the next time I am in the ATL it will be better.
Great shape for this time of year
Hard to beat the combination value/condition, a hidden gem. I’d recommend booking an early Tee the traffic can be pretty bad after 3.
Course improvements
The course is in good shape but soon to be great. They making some modifications around the course. The club house could use some upgrades.
Turn off the geofence!
The geofence on the carts is broken so it shut my cart down on the par 3s and I had to drive backwards down the path. Of course none of us left the path anyway but it kept shutting down our carts. Turn that junk off.
Not worth the money!!!
Tee boxes were mostly dirt.
No beer cart.
Course does not accept cash.
The course does not sell beer.
This was a $40 course - not worth the money.
Challenging!
Fairly new golfer playing first time here. Nice, mostly straight fairways but the greens were the real challenge. Lots of tiers, slopes, and bumps that make it almost always a 3-putt. The course was fairly crowded for a weekday and the pace was a bit slow.
A couple of firsts: First course I’ve encountered where you could not drive the cart to your car to load/unload your clubs. Also you could only get your cart 10 minutes before your tee time.
Bottom line: Good course, great value and I recommend to others. I will play there again.
Winter improvements.
Wolf Creek is under new management. Bunkers on the front 9 are under repair. Sand for the bunkers will be added soon. The greens are dormant and fast. This course is a staple in my rotation. Can’t wait to play here in the spring.
Potential and Signs they are working on it.
The course is very spread out, so there is a lot of real estate in between holes which is odd because it is not in a neighborhood. Perhaps that was the original plan. The greens are very good even though it's February - and they are tough! There is an area at the end of the 9's that introduces a interstate of cart paths that is a bit confusing. You will be challenged at this course.
Disappointed
I’ve played WC many times and course is in bad shape right now. Starting with driving range that has no grass and is all sand. All bunkers on course I would consider ground under repair. Fairways are just OK when you can find a dry spot. Greens just OK. Pace of play super slow. 5 hr round. Much better shape last summer. Layout out is really good. I would say overpriced for winter golf. I hope they can get course back in shape by spring.
