Wolf Creek Golf Course

I have to separate my review in this fashion. From the tee boxes the fairways and rough even the bunkers are in great shape. The greens however are NOT a couple of the greens are really showing the stress of the summer heat. the one that are un blemished are just plain bumpy and slow. even the hot deals for this course are over priced in my opinion.

Played here for the first time! The course was in great shape in spite of a strong thunderstorm the night before. The storm had damaged trees and washed out bunkers. However, the fairways and tee boxes were in excellent shape, albeit a little wet. The bent grass greens were good too, with only a few showing signs of extreme heat and humidity. The layout was beautiful with a mix of links style and rolling hills. There were a number of blind shots due to hilly terrain and sharp doglegs. All in all, it's a must play in the Atlanta area!

The course was in great shape. Very enjoyable round, but even with an 8:15 AM tee time the heat was too much on the back side. The white tees were moved up by a great margin, but it made the round kinda fun. I will certainly return.

Fairways and greens are great condition. GPS on carts keeps the guys with the gps watches and rangefinders from slowing down play. Great investment. Will def be back soon

Was in town for business and didn't fly out until late in the evening. Called and got a tee time even though they were hosting a tournament that day. The lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful. Had to start on the back due to the tourney but they explained it all and it wasn't an issue.

Liked the layout a lot. Shot pretty good that day. It's a course that plays fair. You hit good shots, you get rewarded. I can appreciate that. It was extremely hot that day so that wasn't good but it had no bearing on the course.

The fairways were a little cooked in some areas but that's about the only thing I can say from a negative standpoint and that's nothing. Greens ran true. Weren't the fastest but far from slow. Overall, a very solid public course and I will definitely play every time I visit Atlanta.

A friend and I decided to try this course based on the ratings. When we got to the course we discovered they had recently aerated the greens. The young lady was really, really apologetic about the fact that no one had told us this when we booked and ended up letting us play for cart fees to make it up to us. What an interesting layout! I would definitely like to try it again when the greens are healthy.

Wolf Creek is a great test of golf. From the gold tees every club in my bag was used. Demanding tee shots, accurate irons, fairway woods and precise putting are all needed to navigate this course.

The traps had not been worked on and previous knowledge helps navigate many of the blind tee shots.

I was in from NY and found this course online. I have played golf for a number of years and in a number of states ... This is one of the best public courses I have ever played. The layout especially the front nine was challenging and the back nine was great fun. I would DEFINITELY recommend this course. The staff is very helpful and extremely friendly. If you are in the area play this course !!

Always in great shape. Pace was great. Always up to play this course when I can. Never have I been here and the course was in bad shape, and Ive been playing here for over 5 years.

Greens are in very good shape. I thought it was well worth the $55 rate. Pace of play could've been a little fast, but then again, we were in a twosome that was behind another twosome ... so it wasn't that big of a deal. Great day.

Challenging layout. Many of the holes have a blind tee shot. Lots of water. There are plenty of chances to get birdies/pars if you can keep the ball in the fairway.

The weather was great but the course was in terrible shape. The course was soaked, fairways were terrible. This course does not drain well if at all. Most fairways was just soaked like it rain for several days straight but it hadn't rain for over a week. Played it before never seen the course this wet. I would avoid this course after any long periods of rain or if it's raining presently.

Course doesn't drain well. It wasn't worth the 50$ to play there..

This is the second time I have played Wolf Creek, and in both instances it seems to have rained days/weeks prior. While i was happy to finally get out in play this course, I feel that they shouldn't have allowed us to play. The course on multiple holes had fairways so muddy you were likely to lose a shoe in it. I lost multiple balls in the middle of the fairway due to them being plugged and unable to find OR just didn't want to ruin the course walking in it.

While I know the course is there to make money, I left thinking they probably did more harm by letting multiple groups play (Even with cart path only).

Overall though the course is just LONG. We played a couples combined gamed and the women playing didn't have any advantage. Felt that almost every hole a Bogey was a par...

I have thought about playing this course several times, but the green fees were around $65.00, so I watched for a deal and finally got one around $41.00. When I arrived, I found the club house to be not much more than a large log cabin, and the facilities not very neat. I know there had been a storm, but I was not impressed at the overall conditions of facilities. I'm from florida, and when you pay $65+ to play around of golf, your going to get what you were expecting, a high quality club for the price. This club in my opinion was no more than an average city course. Although the layout was not extremely difficult, the condition was awful. The girl in the front was very nice, but she was up to speed on the conditions. She told us that it was cart path only due to the heavy rain, and but there was no standing water in the traps. Not true, they were completely full. Water and weeds all over the greens and fairways. You could see where the lakes had overrun unto the fairways and greens, and the cart paths were very muddy and flooded. In short, they should've closed the course. It just didn't appear to be what I expected for $65.00. Will I play here again, I doubt it unless I can get a $20-30 fee to play, and if the creek doesn't rise. The only nice thing was the GPS on the carts.

First, the young lady that checked us in was extremely warm and friendly. Appreciated that hospitality.
Second, the course was very wet for what reason I do not know as we had not had rain for at least five days. Due to this there was no carry whatsoever.
Finally, the course was in good shape. The greens were rolling extremely well.
Would recommend this course for customer outings when course is drier.

Great value on weekdays. Top notch course that will challenge any golfer on any level. Greens are small and fairways are tight. You must place your shots to score otherwise your scores will be high. This course has made my game better.

After having worked 8 straight days of rainy weather in ATL, I jumped on the first rays of sunshine for a round at Wolf Creek. If I could have given the course another day to dry out it would have been better. Challenging course with some interesting par 3's. Great, Bent Grass greens and few players on my visit so the pace was blazing. Good, accessible track on the SouthWest side of ATL.
