Wolf Creek Golf Course

Haven’t played Wolf Creek in years and was pleasantly suprised.

The staff was exceptional. From Clubhouse to Starter

Greens and fairways were in great shape.

Will have to add Wolf Creek back to rotation

Oh I have disabilities and the staff did great job in that area as well.

I’ve played here 5-6 times over the last few years. When I first played here it was a hidden gem that had just reopened with new management and was truly a fun course in devoid shape. This time around the course was in mediocre shape. The fairways, tee boxes and greens are in good shape BUT! There is no first cut. So if you miss a fairway your ball is buried in thick Bermuda that looks like it hasn’t been cut in weeks. The fairways were cut but the clippings were all over the fairway. Not blown off or bagged. Same with the greens. The greens had trash all over them from grass clippings.

There are no water coolers on the course. They were generous enough to give you a bottle of water when you recieve you cart. So bring water. Also no bev cart. ( this stuff isn’t a deal breaker)

The carts are really nice with GPS. The pace of play was solid. 3.55 to play 18

All in all this is a $30-$35 course tops.

Cliff and Debra were awesome staff. Accommodated us when 2 of our group were stuck in traffic and even delivered our door dash order to us on the 9th.

The course looks great as well. Greens are in great shape and well maintained. Golf carts are fantastic and even when in restricted areas by accident it doesn’t turn off the cart on you like other places.

Great value for your money, overall fantastic golf experience.

Won’t play this course again! 3 inch tall 1st cut on front 9 is way more than I can handle. Multiple lost balls that roll 1 ft off fairway is UNFAIR. Back 9 was fine. 10 shots worse on front than back. Lots of blind tee shots on back 9. Tees and greens and scenery were great.

Great conditions. 3.5 hours for a 3 ball. Can’t beat it.

Have played here multiple times for multiple years. Even though ownership is (relatively) new, they have not made certain improvements/advancements compared to their pandemic changes:

1) no alcohol license

2) no beverage cart

3) no water coolers/stations on course

Regarding #3, I get removing them during the height of the pandemic, as did many/most courses. But every other course I play has put them back, except for Wolf Creek. The bottled water offering at the start is better than nothing, but they request you to take only 1 (per player): I can go through 3 of these in a round in the hot Georgia summers and one isn't close to enough (please stop the rhetoric about 'concern for infection' and start having the water coolers again.

Regarding alcohol/beverage carts, I can only assume this is either a business decision or a decision based on personal preferences/beliefs. While I can respect that, it is an outlier compared to most other courses.

Lastly, paying $40 weekdays, $55 Fridays, and $70 weekends shows me you are paying attention to finances. I'm sure many others notice this. Yes, I played on a weekend because of available tee times but it is NOT worth $70. Perhaps if you upped your amenities, you wouldn't have to 'gouge' weekend players because more people would be playing the course.

Yes, a long review, but I'm speaking from experience regarding Wolf Creek.

Pace of play horrid. 2somes all over. Marshall wasn’t moving people along from what I saw. Sparse clubhouse with no beer.

Loved playing here. Well run, pace of play was good. Course is in excellent shape, tee boxes, fairways and greens all very well maintained. Challenging lay out but still fun. Agree with other reviews complaining about lack of signage getting from hole to hole, needs to improve. But otherwise, this is an excellent value.

The staff was friendly with a smile, the greens and fairways was is great shape, , been a while since I played this course, the changing is for the best. Keep up the good work.

This course is a very good value. No complaints at all except that the Bermuda greens were a little “hairy” and bumpy. Maybe they were recently aerated and / or sanded?

Nothing fancy about this club. Limited amenities. The golf course is solid. Greens were good. Layout was good. Price is right $39. I recommend it.
