Victoria Hills Golf Club
About
Victoria Hills Golf Club located in Deland has jaw-dropping beauty. Golfers will appreciate Roland Garl's vigorous bunkering, which oscillates between the expansive and the intricate, depending on the hole. An array of pot bunkers, waste bunkers, native wetlands, water sprays, bunkers integrated within a natural setting, and elevation changes rarely seen on a Florida golf course await you. Garl's course is graceful and feminine
Victoria Hills could easily be called "The State of Florida's Garden of Golf,"- inland settings such as this are virtually unprecedented in this state. Yet while the splendor and natural beauty of the property are notable, this is not simply eye candy and lazy golf. Victoria Hills, as one player put it, "is a blast to play". In any evaluation, it's difficult to imagine how a golfer would not rate a round here as one of their most enjoyable in Florida.

Back to being in good condition
Very pleased to how well the course is after the hurricane and years of being under restoration. Kudos to the owner and his course staff.
Still needs intense work
Greens need lots of work. Fairways improving. Rough is years from being acceptable Greenside bunkers improving but fairway bunkers are in poor shape. Tee boxes are poor. I increased my rating from one star to two which took 4 years. So, at the current pace, 4 more years will get to an average public course rating. Another 8-10 years and it could reach the level of the two LPGA courses. It certainly has the bones to become a great course! To get there in a couple of years would require a major investment and ownership willing to make it. I’m sure you could get a significant increase in membership given the growing golf population in the vicinity. As of now, LPGA is the much preferred alternative even though a 25 min drive.
Shows lots of improvement
The course has improved dramatically since we last played in the spring of 2024
Looks like the greens had been sanded but at least good grasscoverage with a few weeds
Nice course
Friendly staff , nice course in good shape considering we just had a hurricane.
I will definitely come back
Victoria Hills GC
I was told that Victoria Hills used to have outstanding turf conditions, but that it had gone down significantly and now recovering. First, the layout is simply fantastic. The condition of the course is indeed in recovery mode, but all the greens are covered in grass with a few sports they are working on. The greens were slow and a bit furry, but considering the recent passage of hurricane Milton, the course was in excellent shape. The staff was very friendly and the amenities very good. I will go back!
Coming back
They are doing a great job bringing the course back from the dead. Still have a ways to go, but very playable.
Course is steadily improving in condition. Good value for the money.
Getting there and back in the rotation for sure
My weekly travel group gave up on Victoria Hills a year or so ago as the course was virtually unplayable.
Very happy to say it is back to about 90% of where it could be, given the area standards and cost.
The greens are good, but at this time they were very slow and it lead to a lot of 3 putts. The fairways were generally nice, better than some of the other regular courses we play here in Volusia County, and the rough has grown in nicely. Sand traps acceptable and the staff quite friendly and accommodating.
A word about the driving range - the area we were allowed to hit from was mostly sandy - mats would have been better and I know most of us hate to see mats at the driving range.
All in all the course got a positive response from my group and we will put it back in the rotation until the winter rates come in - curious to see how much they raise them
Every time I play at Victoria Hills seems like the course is getting better and better four stars layout great pace of play Love this course, I will come back more often
