Victoria Hills could easily be called "The State of Florida's Garden of Golf,"- inland settings such as this are virtually unprecedented in this state. Yet while the splendor and natural beauty of the property are notable, this is not simply eye candy and lazy golf. Victoria Hills, as one player put it, "is a blast to play". In any evaluation, it's difficult to imagine how a golfer would not rate a round here as one of their most enjoyable in Florida.

Great find

First time to play at this course and while it is a challenging course, I had a great time. The number of sand traps as a horror for me, but also required me to consider layups instead of trying to power the shots over them. A great value for the price!

Lots of Bunkers

Fairly difficult course - made especially so by more than 100 large bunkers. Greens were fast. Fairways a little thin on grass.

Not in Good Shape

Sand, sand, sand....everywhere. A lot of bunkers that makes it a challenge. Unfortunately the fairways and most of the tee boxes are not in good shape. Greens aren't bad...tough to read. I know we just came off a few days of a deep freeze, but that didn't cause the fairway conditions. Like hitting off of concrete.

Such a shame. Layout and greens were good. Fairways were awful. So many bare spots, holes and debris, it was difficult to find your ball in the middle after a good drive.

The greens were good. The fairways and tee boxes were bad. Maybe when the grass starts growing in the growing season it will be better. Wednesday evenings in the restaurant there is a pasta bar with salad. Recommend the pasta bar. The chef prepares the pasta your way right in front of you with chicken, shrimp, meatballs, all sorts of veggies. It was so good.

New prices not justifed by the conditions

They raised the price by a lot and it simply not worth it to play a course in the condition it is in! Ownership must be hallucinating. While the Greens are better, the fairways seem a little worse. They need to do something to make the greens consistent and roll correctly, each green while nice looking now do behave the same, I have no idea why.

Enjoyable

Even though this course is an hour from my house I try to play it several times a year. It’s interesting layout …very challenging in places the greens normally are in good shape. Certainly worth checking out if you never been there.
