Victoria Hills Golf Club located in Deland has jaw-dropping beauty. Golfers will appreciate Roland Garl's vigorous bunkering, which oscillates between the expansive and the intricate, depending on the hole. Victoria Hills could easily be called "The State of Florida's Garden of Golf,"- inland settings such as this are virtually unprecedented in this state. Yet while the splendor and natural beauty of the property are notable, this is not simply eye candy and lazy golf. Victoria Hills, as one player put it, "is a blast to play". In any evaluation, it's difficult to imagine how a golfer would not rate a round here as one of their most enjoyable in Florida.

This course was great to play on
The staff at Victoria Hills are very friendly and courteous. The course was very nice, I'm a beginner and I didn't loose to many balls and I really enjoyed it enough to admit that this is going to be my primary place of play.
aeration alert
The course had notices posted on the door about the aeration, but since I don’t live in DeLand I didn’t hear about it cause Golfnow didn’t have the information ….half of the course was closed to the other half had been aerated very recently and not enough sand applied. It was like putting on a waffle iron. I really like the course I drive almost an hour to play it Each way probably a half a dozen times a year, but it would be nice to know that it wasn’t happening yesterdaybefore I spent all that time and money ….check it out if you’re anywhere near it, I like it usually.
Tremendous improvement
A few years ago, this course was unplayable. That's not the case now. It has dramatically improved. Kudos to Victoria!
Almost but not quite….
Joint is coming along,slowly but surely
Greens are puttable and receptive probably a true 9 on the stimp
bunkers remain to be disastrous, too many to maintain daily
great layout with nice elavation changes
So much improvement.
They have really improved the Greens.... Last time I played, they were horrible, big sections of the greens were unputtable, they have come a long, long way. I love the course layout, especially the back 9. I would recommend playing this course to everyone, especially if you haven't been here in a while. You will be amazed.
Victoria Hills
I played here about 18 months ago, they are making it better. However, with that said, a lot of fairways still need more grass and less bumps & ruts. The greens are pretty good albeit slow, probably because they dont want to lose them. On a personal note, I would love to see them take out a few fairway bunkers, those things make some holes REALLY difficult.
Fun and challenging
Loved the layout, course is not like your typical flat Florida courses. Accuracy off the tee is a must, greens were in very good condition. Some fairways were being repaired and some parts of the course have taken a beating with water run off issues (but that's the summer time storms). Some holes had incredible elevated views and some make you wonder how are you gonna hit the narrow fairway. Price is right for summer play as well
