About
Designed by Ron Garl and Gary Koch, the Forest Course at The Eagles Golf Club features the signature island-green sixth hole which rivals the famous 17th hole at the TPC at Sawgrass. The two outstanding championship courses at The Eagles Golf Club are kept in "tournament condition" year-round. As its name implies, much of Forest course winds through an impressive pine forest.

Horrible tee boxes
The worst tee boxes and greens I’ve seen in quite some time.

Greens under repair
Course was in ok condition minus the greens which were under repair and in terrible condition.

Challenging course for the average golfer

Course quality has diminished significantly
I have played here many times over the years and in my latest round, the conditions were worse than a $12 Muni course. Greens are in really bad shape with a lot of disease. Some greens had the grass cut out of them so hitting a green but being in ground under repair was not desirable.
Fairways were pretty sparse and areas around greens were really bad. Had to hit chips off barren areas with no grass due to poor conditions.

Good round
Had a good round. Greens were being worked on to make them better but still in great shape.

The Eagles- Forest
2nd time here in a week. Really like the layout. Treated great upon check in. Course is in good shape after high season. Greens ae moderate - fast, and in good shape.
Couple of fairways thin leading up to the greens, but no real issue. I recommend playng here, and we will be back.

Tee box need lots of work. Green we’re the best either. What do you won’t for $35 bucks. Wish l would of golf here when the conditions were good. Layout required you to hit 3 woods off some off the par 5 which make you play position golf which is great.
North Tampa Gem
60 bucks to play at 9 am! Why do I really like this course? Let me tell you. Two courses together, ample parking. I was able to drive the included Golf cart to my car, the cart didn’t shut off if I drove too close to a squirrel or the putting surface, and the course was well laid out. Was it in awesome condition? Was it in 60 dollar condition? Absolutely! Loved the shaded aspect, loved the water features and really loved the “ were not Cypress” attitude. This is a recreational golfers golf course. If you approach your play as Augusta worthy, you should go there. If you want to play a nice course in Florida with shade, not operated by zealots, this is the place.

Nothing good to report!
All tee boxes are trashed, dirt and dead grass absolute garbage. Bunkers are trashed, very little sand, hard packed, terrible! Fairways are hit and miss, lots of dead spots. Some of the worst greens I’ve seen, they are lost, they may have to be completely rebuilt from the damage already done.
Awful
I chose this course solely based on the reviews. I couldn’t be more disappointed. The tees, fairways and greens all were not maintained. The greens had missing turf from fungus. There was no cut difference between fairway and rough. The sand traps have lost their perimeter. The tee boxes were dirt and sand. Unfortunately the practice area was exactly like the course and I knew going out I was not going to enjoy a good lie anywhere on this course.
I would not recommend this course.
Eagle
Was moved to Lakes corse due to a mix up. Lakes course was not in good shape. Talked with the Pro Shop and they gave us a free round for the next day on the Forrest Course. Really appreciated the customer service. The round on the Forrest was great. The course was in much better shape and we enjoyed the round
