About
Designed by Ron Garl and Gary Koch, the Forest Course at The Eagles Golf Club features the signature island-green sixth hole which rivals the famous 17th hole at the TPC at Sawgrass. The two outstanding championship courses at The Eagles Golf Club are kept in "tournament condition" year-round. As its name implies, much of Forest course winds through an impressive pine forest.

Forest course
Tee boxes under construction
Greens in bad shape
Good course: not this time of yesr
Not going to be too harsh given it is the off-season down here. Course was playing around 5000 yards due to them re-doing the tee boxes. We were not aware of this when we showed up. Some of the greens were being worked on as well. Also it was an extremely hot and humid day as it typically is this time of year. We did not see a beverage cart once and the halfway house was closed. Had we been less prepared it would have been a very long and dangerous afternoon from the heat. I would not pay $55 again to play this course right now.
2nd time I played the Forest course - 6 months ago. They were trying to upgrade some of the greens - need to go back and finish!! The rough needed to be cut - lost 3 balls that just went into the rough on drives - ridiculous! T-boxes need work as well. The range is absolutely terrible.
Hitting off mats into the water. Until these are fixed, I wont be back.

Nice course but...
When we played, we weren't informed that all the tee boxes were under construction. Still enjoyed the round, but the clubbie should have told us. Somebody should have told us. Some of the greens were that way also.
Still a good layout, and I look forward to returning when it is ready. They are putting a lot of work into it.

Undergoing renovation
This is typically a fairly nice course. However, the course is currently udnderoing major renovations to the tee boxes.
They have setup temporary tee boxes on almost all of the holes. The greens are also being aerated and are in poor condition.
There was no warning prior to playing and the course won't be back to normal for at least a couple months.

UNDER RENOVATION
Great course but renovations are underway and we paid full price. Worth that price normally but needs a heavy discount during renovation. Majority of tees moved way forward. Also be advised if you play the Forest side, your not gonna see the clubhouse after 9 holes as its very far away. Come prepared for 18 holes straight.
If prices stay the same after renovation, this is gonna be an amazing course thats just a little lacking in amenities.

Good Time
Good course, would be much more enjoyable if they had water on the course or a beer cart which is stocked. Hot out there!

Coming Around
Saw a lot of poor reviews from recent visits particularly with the tee boxes and greens conditions. While they weren’t great, I would only call a few of the tee boxes poor. Greens had dead spots and were sandy, but pins were located in the better condition areas of the green. Most dead spots were on the edges so you typically were not putting through them. For the $, $32 for late Tuesday morning, it’s a decent value. Fairways were mostly in good shape, however the course stays pretty wet. Would return for the same price range.

Over priced for what it is
Seems the greens have been under repair for as long as I can remember. Each time I go and I see they are charging full price I assume the repairs are done. Several of the greens are only half their normal size with parts of them literally dug out. I understand needing to maintain them and replace repair them. However, I do not understand paying 55 to play a 70% course.

Decent course, partly under repair
Had to wait 30 mins to get a cart. Course was decent, but a couple horrible greens and tee boxes. Fairways are decent. Friendly staff.

I was expecting more from this course tee boxes were pretty beat up.
The greens were average.
Fairways were average
I was expecting a lot more from this course people had told me that it was extremely good but I found it to be a little below average and the greens were just barely OK
