About
Designed by Ron Garl and Gary Koch, the Forest Course at The Eagles Golf Club features the signature island-green sixth hole which rivals the famous 17th hole at the TPC at Sawgrass. The two outstanding championship courses at The Eagles Golf Club are kept in "tournament condition" year-round. As its name implies, much of Forest course winds through an impressive pine forest.

Its coming along good
Its been almost a year since we play there
The tee boxes where terrible, the greens were just bad.
This time, they have re-sod all the tee boxes and most of the greens are also in good shape or been work on.
Its looking very good..

Disappointed
The overall condition of the golf clourse spoiled the day for us. Teeing grounds were terrible, with some having no turf at all. The fairways were very inconsistent, and several greens were partly relaid and orthers have large bare patches. Also there were large patches of weeds, both on the fringes and the putting surfaces.
The course needs a lot of work to bring it to an acceptable standard.

Fun and beautiful course
First time playing and booked through Golf Now so this was a great value. I played the Forest course and this was beautiful with lots of wild life and a fun layout. A few of the tee boxes were being worked on, so some holes played shorter than usual but no big deal. Some tidiness could be used in the fairways and around some of the greens but all in all a very nice place to play!

Wasn’t communicated that all of the tee boxes and greens were being repaired
Pretty ridiculous to charge full price for a course when not one tee box is playable and half the greens are under repair. Should at least have on golf now what’s going on… pretty upsetting to show up there at 8am on a Saturday and be told we’re playing course at 4500 yards and won’t be able to putt

New Tee boxes
Was not aware of maintenance being done on course. Price does not reflect a discount. Most tee boxes are not functional and everyone tees off from fairway. Looks like this will be an ongoing issue.

Course is under renovation.
I played this course two years ago while visiting Florida and thought it was amazing. This time the course was under renovation but we we were not notified. All of the tees were together up close to the fairways because they were working on the tee boxes. This made the course very short and less challenging. I will definitely play it again once the renovations are completed.

Good course: not this time of yesr
Not going to be too harsh given it is the off-season down here. Course was playing around 5000 yards due to them re-doing the tee boxes. We were not aware of this when we showed up. Some of the greens were being worked on as well. Also it was an extremely hot and humid day as it typically is this time of year. We did not see a beverage cart once and the halfway house was closed. Had we been less prepared it would have been a very long and dangerous afternoon from the heat. I would not pay $55 again to play this course right now.
2nd time I played the Forest course - 6 months ago. They were trying to upgrade some of the greens - need to go back and finish!! The rough needed to be cut - lost 3 balls that just went into the rough on drives - ridiculous! T-boxes need work as well. The range is absolutely terrible.
Hitting off mats into the water. Until these are fixed, I wont be back.

Nice course but...
When we played, we weren't informed that all the tee boxes were under construction. Still enjoyed the round, but the clubbie should have told us. Somebody should have told us. Some of the greens were that way also.
Still a good layout, and I look forward to returning when it is ready. They are putting a lot of work into it.

Undergoing renovation
This is typically a fairly nice course. However, the course is currently udnderoing major renovations to the tee boxes.
They have setup temporary tee boxes on almost all of the holes. The greens are also being aerated and are in poor condition.
There was no warning prior to playing and the course won't be back to normal for at least a couple months.

UNDER RENOVATION
Great course but renovations are underway and we paid full price. Worth that price normally but needs a heavy discount during renovation. Majority of tees moved way forward. Also be advised if you play the Forest side, your not gonna see the clubhouse after 9 holes as its very far away. Come prepared for 18 holes straight.
If prices stay the same after renovation, this is gonna be an amazing course thats just a little lacking in amenities.

Good course, would be much more enjoyable if they had water on the course or a beer cart which is stocked. Hot out there!
