The Eagles Golf Club - Forest
About
Designed by Ron Garl and Gary Koch, the Forest Course at The Eagles Golf Club features the signature island-green sixth hole which rivals the famous 17th hole at the TPC at Sawgrass. The two outstanding championship courses at The Eagles Golf Club are kept in "tournament condition" year-round. As its name implies, much of Forest course winds through an impressive pine forest.

Forest course
The greens, fringes and roughs were not in good shape at all.
Bathrooms on course need attention....paper towels(there were none !!!) soap in dispenser.
The course changed us to the Lakes because of a tournament. The Lakes is in better condition than the Forest this week.
There a 2 courses, no Marshall to assist starting
I’ve played this course many times over 7 yrs
Never seen it in such poor condition
It’s to bad
This was once one of my favorite courses. Now it’s over priced and conditions are very poor.
The course was not in as good of shape as two weeks ago. The fairways had dried out a lot and lost their green color. This is because of the dry season.
Stilled loved it.
Nice layout
Three hours and 20 minutes to play 18. That’s a record for Florida. We had a 12:00 tee time. Course needs water. Most Florida courses do. Enjoyed the round.
The Eagles Forest
This course has a very fair layout for players of all abilities.
There wasn’t a starter but we players worked it out.
The clubhouse is well stocked with golf paraphernalia and the bar and grill was stocked as well.
Would play again.
Honest Assessment
So Much Potential ,Fairways were very good ,Greens & Tee Boxes were Awful.
Bare patches ,No grass ,A complete embarrassment to the owners.....if they care.
Save your money .....Go Elsewhere
Disappointed
Still a great layout but still needs a lot of work
Course in general is in below average condition and nowhere near worth the green fees they are getting
Course is much improved
The condition of the course was much improved compared to the last time I played it. Fairways were defined and mowed and so was the rough. Greens were puttable. Even the bunker's had been groomed. It still needs much love, but moving in the right direction.
Noticeably improving
New ownership making real progress. Addressing some bad tee boxes. Actually starting to groom traps! Yay! Making progress on worst greens. “Driving range” dreadful and balls worse. Tough issue as it’s into a lake with floating balls. A way to go but, if continuing at this pace these could be really good courses due to location and layout.
The Forest disappointed
I arrived at the course to warm up on the driving range, and I was told they had no balls at 10am. I did get lucky and a member happened to have a few balls left, and they gave them to me. I went to the range and the mats were disgusting and all torn up. My playing partner arrived and we went on to the course. The tee areas are sparse with barely any grass. All of the fairways had many patches of weeds or no grass at all. The greens were no better. Every green had black patches with no grass.
The kicker here is that the course has ZERO water to drink on the course! It is a Florida course in the Summer and there was no water to be found. There were no water jugs on the holes, The bathrooms had no fountains. We got ready to make the turn and thought we would be close to the clubhouse to get a drink. NOT the case! We had to drive down the road 5 mins to get back to the clubhouse before we passed out and then drove back to the 10th hole. On the 10th hole, all they have is a crappy vending machine. You have to download an app to make any purchase, with some janky QR code. Are you serious? In this environment of credit card fraud, you think I am going to pay for something that way? I have not played that course in about 5 or 6 years, and can't really believe how bad it is. They had no starter on duty or rangers out on the course either. A cart girl would have been way to much to ask for. LOL.
I would not pay more than $25 to play this course, EVER.
