The Eagles Golf Club - Forest

I have played this course before , but a few years ago. The course should have been closed. Recent rains have left the course flooded and it was impossible to find a place to even clean and place. We quit after 3 holes!

The starter deserves a better course. He was extremely friendly and really made the review score be higher than it should probably. Pro Shop wasn't pumped about me being a GolfNow-er, but the starter made up for that. Course conditions were not great. It hadn't been mowed in a while, and things were wet and slow. Course doesn't drain great but it's been wet so most courses are in similar nature. Overall it was below expectations, considering the neighborhood is nice and they seem to aim for an above average experience, but the course conditions were slightly below average to slightly above average at best.. Amenities were nice - waters in cart, etc.

GPS Carts with a Cart Path only rule made for a long hot and humid day. Course was overgrown and had not been cut in days. I will not play there again, Tee boxes were in shambles. Temporary green was nothing more than a flag stuck in the ground 100 yards away from the tee on a par 3.

Let me start off by saying The Eagles Lake and Forest are my preferred location when it comes to choosing a golf course in Tampa but after playing there last week I am not sure I will be going back anytime soon. Complete waste of $45. The tee boxes were mostly dirt with little patches of crab grass. We skipped the par 3 4th hole which was under repair but not notified to us at the less than friendly club attendant. If I had to guess the course including the greens, fairways, and rough haven't been cut in weeks. The course was extremely wet which is not something they can control but nonetheless made it difficult to find your ball when you combine wet and unmowed fairways. To top if off, we had an 9am tee time and didnt see the cart girl until the 18th hole and there were no water coolers anywhere on the course. if you do decide to waste your money on this course make sure you bring your own water or beer. Won't be going back there anytime soon and it's a shame because when it's right it is one of the better public courses around.

I have never been so disappointed in course conditions in my entire life of playing golf. The teeboxes are dirt, the fairways are cut up and the greens have weeds growing out from under them. The fact I was charged $33 on Golfnow is blasphemy. Hole four is literally a green made from the fairway because the actual green is under repair making the “green” unputtable. I could not make it through the following hole before turning around and heading straight back to the pro shop to ask for a refund. I feel as if I was robbed and this course should be ashamed of themselves for charging the price that they do. There is a serious need of repair but in the meantime should be half if not more than half the asking price. I was luckily refunded the entire asking price But Immediately left the course after getting my money back. I still felt the need to write a review so no one else will pay or play eagles golf club the “forest” course until serious repair is done Or prices are dropped significantly.

I just wanted to make it clear that the pro shop staff was very accommodating and did not give me a hard time about the refund.

I have played the “Lakes” course multiple times and thoroughly enjoy it. the food is outstanding and everyone who works there is friendly and helpful, but the “forest” course Is Atrocious....

I hope to return to play this course in the near future but until I see a price drop or conditions fixed DRASTICALLY, I will stay away and NEVER recommend.

I have played this course dozens of times in the past. Today was the worst condition I’ve ever seen. What is going on over there?

Must’ve have been punched recently. Greens were but bumpy from recently being punched but they were running true.

Fist time on the course and find out that the greens are being aerated. There was nothing on the description when I put in my reservation and nothing was posted in the clubhouse to notify golfers of the green conditions. Most of the Fairways were soft which is strange since it hasn't rained in over a week in the Tampa area. For the price we paid at 3:20pm and the distance we traveled I could have went to several courses that are far superior. Overall disappointing.

First time had a blast. Will for sure come back for more very soon. Thank you!!!!

A good layout but lots of TLC is needed to get this course up to grade. Slow greens. Worn fairways. Unfortunately, I’ve already booked another round. The staff were very good.

Course has variety of shot opportunity. Greens are consistent. Will play this one again.

As always the course was in good condition and well kept ,other than some of the tee boxes really need some upkeep 1 Will play this course again !
