About
Designed by Ron Garl and Gary Koch, the Forest Course at The Eagles Golf Club features the signature island-green sixth hole which rivals the famous 17th hole at the TPC at Sawgrass. The two outstanding championship courses at The Eagles Golf Club are kept in "tournament condition" year-round. As its name implies, much of Forest course winds through an impressive pine forest.

Eagle forest course. Will play it again
Overseeing showing signs of growth, lots of maintenance under way (bug issue being addressed) greens were true (with few exceptions) a few tee boxes still need some care (and seed growing time). Had a great day on the house, will definitely play it again
Coming along fine
Having never played here before, it was quite interesting seeing the upgrades that are currently being done. Lots of new sod, sand and features. Greens were very good but some of the tee boxes were in need of help (which seems to be happening). New clubhouse is very nice! A good experience and a beautiful day!

Awesome layout
Fairways not too consistent, Bermuda rough creeping into fairways here and there, but layout is excellent, greens we're good, not as firm as I like, but rolled good. Pace was excellent 3 hrs. 45 min. Staff everywhere is friendly. Highly recommend

What Happened?
I used to play this course a lot back 2002-03. I made a visit back as we have moved back to Tampa area. It was hard to find a grassy flat spot to hit on the practice tee. Tee boxes were either bare -- like trying to get footing in a bunker or newly and poorly sodded. trying to get a good footing was nearly impossible. May be conditions will improve to warrant the $58 green fee but definitely not worth the money today.

Nice course but a few problems
The Forest course is a nice layout with variety to make it interesting to play. Two things were negatives. 1. the greens were a bit bumpy so many were quite slow without a true roll. 2. Overwatering on tee boxes and some other areas made course feel far wetter than it should have been. You should not be slipping and sliding on tee boxes in dry weather

Nice course , would play again
I like playing the scores, I played the forest. Had three other buddies with us total of four. Pace of play was nice. There were some spots on the fairway that needed some attention. Overall I’ll be back again

Better out there
Tee boxes were in HORRIBLE condition. Greens were so full of sand, the ball left a trail. Fairways were average at best. Honestly I would have rather played Silver Dollar, even with the Shot gun sounds. Very disappointed with the “prestigious 0 Eagles. Boo!

A secluded nature preserve
I've played the course many times and really enjoy the back nine. You play and wind through one forest setting after another with few houses, and lots of deer. So relaxing, I don't worry too much about my score.

Dont play after rain
Rain ruins this course. Horrible wet conditions. And right now the course AND the clubhouse are under construction. So... bad tee boxes and bad amenities. If you can grab a cheap tee time its worth it. But dont waste your money untill the finish renovation on AND off course
