The Eagles Golf Club - Forest
About
Designed by Ron Garl and Gary Koch, the Forest Course at The Eagles Golf Club features the signature island-green sixth hole which rivals the famous 17th hole at the TPC at Sawgrass. The two outstanding championship courses at The Eagles Golf Club are kept in "tournament condition" year-round. As its name implies, much of Forest course winds through an impressive pine forest.

Nice Course Horrible Conditions
The layout is interesting, but do not spend more than 20-25 dollars to play this course at the time of this post. The fairways were hard pan, my partner and I actually preferred playing from the rough because there was at least some dead grass to hit from. It has been dry here in Florida but the greens were lush and very slow. Also on the forest course there is no turn at the clubhouse which is incredibly odd. Had I only paid 20-25 dollars to play I would have probably not written this review. This was simply a value mismatch. The NorthDale municipal course is in better shape currently.
Slow play and poor tee box conditions
Course was in average condition due to the poor tees. Uneven stance and very dry. Play was slow all round and despite playing through 2 groups there was still 4 groups on one hole on a couple of occasions. Maybe a course ranger could have helped. Shame it ruined our experience as the course layout is very good
no hazard markings
Lots of water with a lot of blind shots due to no hazard stakes showing where the hazards started and ended. Fairways were very hard due to lack of rain balls rolled forever. Will probably not play again.
Nice course
Played the forest course twice, nice layout and good conditions for winter.
Forest
For a first time round on the course I found it challenging yet forgiving. We played the Forest course and truly thought it was the lakes course. A lot of water but not too intimidating. The greens were probably aerated a couple of weeks ago and didn't have any problem with the putting . Greens ran true. Would recommend if you get a chance.
I liked it
Well maintained, pretty lots of water and tight. Usually not my favorite elements, but this is a good golf course
Nice Course, Good Value
The Eagles Forest course is a nice layout in good shape that can be challenging, due to the water and trees on the course. We had fun and enjoyed playing with the twosome that the course paired us up with. I'll definitely return when I get back to Tampa in the future. You can't go wrong with either course at the Eagles.
Nice Layout
First time on forest course so on some holes difficult as not knowing were to hit ! All said good course some nice hole well worth a visit!!
Forest course
Overall a good experience, cost was reasonable. The greens are slow as is expected this time of the year . Good pace of play
Nice layout and the best staff!
The Forest course had mostly smooth greens and enjoyed the links style back 9. Rained out Sat and played Monday with a rain check and experienced the most friendly and helpful staff with 4 bottles of water. Thank you for the great pace of play and enjoyable experience!
Very nice course
Had a nice round at the Eagles Forest course. Mid way through it started pouring but that didn't stop me. The cart battery ran out of juice, so that wasn't fun. The starter wouldn't pair with me up with anyone despite him sending out some threesomes and a twosome. So that wasn't cool. I teamed up with someone after a couple holes. But all in all the golf was nice. The course has a lot nice golf holes, including a nice island par 3. Ill go back for sure. The beverage cart gal was really a nice fun person.
Fun In the Forest
Great day spent on a very nice course. Course was in very good shape with generous fairways and consistent greens. Enough water to make it scenic and sometimes challenging. Will play again.
Great Layout with Some condition issues
Enjoyed this course very much and will play here again. I was met by very friendly staff. My interaction with the front of the house was very good. The only drawback was the greens and some of the teeboxes were in rough shape. Based on the time of year I understand that fixing issues on the greens is tough. However getting the holes or thin spots filled in and level needs some attention. However the layout is fantastic and I will play again. If the greens and tees were in better shape I would give it a 5.
a...all the golfer's paradise!
..excellent course; beautiful, clean, ...cold water..what can I ask more !
Eagles Forest
This seems more forgiving than the other course The Lakes. But still challenging to me. Great layout. It has a beautiful par 3 with an Island green I used every club in my bag.
