The Eagles Golf Club - Forest
About
Designed by Ron Garl and Gary Koch, the Forest Course at The Eagles Golf Club features the signature island-green sixth hole which rivals the famous 17th hole at the TPC at Sawgrass. The two outstanding championship courses at The Eagles Golf Club are kept in "tournament condition" year-round. As its name implies, much of Forest course winds through an impressive pine forest.

Love these courses!
I come here at least 2 times per week and the course employees are very accommodating. Always in great shape whether it's the Lakes course or the Forest. Today played the Forest and even after the rain the course was in great shape.
I found the course conditions to be almost perfect. Very enjoyable day, would highly recommend this course to all.
Highly recomend this course
Played here many times and will play many more times. Love this course!
Don't waste your time
I was very disappointed with the layout and course quality. This was the fourth and final round of four in the Tampa area in late Jan. Here is what I didn't like....
- uninspiring layout, no real interesting or memorable holes
- flat boring greens with nearly nil slopes on more than half the greens
- target golf,
- no stakes marking water hazards
- no course guide book or gps in cart to help first time navigate distances to bunkers and water hazards
- bumpy greens
The course plays through a community which you find with many FLA courses. I won't be back, suggest others think twice.
Good value
Great course for the money as public courses go. Friendly staff, on time scheduling and fast play.
Nice course
Probably one of the better public courses near Tarpon Springs. The greens were very nice and the rest of the course was in good shape. It is challenging but fair. No complaints.
Great day!
Beautiful course and we had a great day! Well worth the money.
Better Than Being in Chicago
First and foremost...greens were great. But rest of the course was just average. Tee boxes and the fairways needed much trimming. But I will not complain too much because it's far better playing here than at home in Chicago. Bunkers in great shape. Sand is soft and responds to shots well.
The course is pretty straight forward; nothing too tricky. I would have played the Lake course but there was an outing. I will recommend to others to take a shot on both courses.
Great layout and fast greens!
The golf course overall was in good condition and is a very good layout, with many narrow fairways and great greens. Great value for the money we paid, which was $45 on a Saturday. If you're in the Tampa area give it a try.
This course is always in great shape!
Always enjoy playing The Eagles. From the pick up at my car to the water bottles in the cart cooler, they go out of their way to ensure you have an ejoyable round. Most important, the course and greens are always in great shape! Highly recommend it!
The Eagles Golf Club Forest Course
12:51 tee time w/ wife, retirement round from my ER family. This course should the "other Lakes course". Has 1 or 2 less lakes than the Lake Course but has more forced water carries. Just as nice a condition as the Lakes course: tee boxes, fairways & greens plush w/ the greens rolling true & fast. Unlike the Lakes Course, does not stop by the club house after nine so I suggest getting enough drinks & snacks @ start of round. Well worth the 1.5 hour drive.
Good course ...
The only negative thing I have to say about the course is the driving range. Hitting balls in water is something I'm not use too. I guess its a Florida thing.
Keep it in the Rotation
I run a weekly golf group, and we kicked off our season playing the Forrest Course. We will certainly be back. Don't net the yardage fool you. We are all between a 15 and 19 handicappers and the White tees were plenty challenging.
fun with guests
Beautiful landscaping, trees, and ponds. Interesting wildlife included deer, birds, and an egg laying turtle on a tee box. Challenging yet fair layout. Recently sanded greens but still playable. We had a very good experience and will return.
Awesome course for the money
Great greens for Florida golf
well worth the money
Great experience from start to finish,we were treated like we were members as soon as we got out of our car. We played the forest course and I thought it was one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL courses I have ever played. Can't wait to go back.
wet
The course was wetter than expected, it was still worth playing although it rained quite hard. Greens were good and pace of play was 3 hours.
Wet Time of Year
Course was in very good shape considering rainy Summer. Greens were slower than normal but ran true.
