About
Located just north of Tampa Bay Downs, Eagles Golf Club features two 18-hole golf courses surrounded by more than 30 lakes, ponds and canals. Eagles Golf Club's Lakes course sports an abundance of water hazards, elevated greens and many fairway bunkers. Large oaks are scattered throughout.

Lakes course
Haven’t played course in over a year. Glad to see course in good shape. Pace of play was good
Great Course!
Have played The Eagles' courses quite a few times this year - this time scheduled Lakes but we switched to Forest! Fairways and greens are still going strong despite some heavy traffic and those that can't seem to follow the 90-degree cart rule! Oh well, really love the layout and seeing the wildlife (deer, turkeys, birds). Get out and play this course - Eric, John and staff will always treat you well!
Way overbooked
Way overbooked. Slow pace of play. Tee boxes are in need of lots of work
Greens are beat up. Played in Thanksgiving. No carts. Tee times were not adhered to. The staff though was first class. They know there were problems. Very friendly staff. Communication by team was very good after we paid that there were no carts and tee times were 1/2 to 45 mins late. Used Golf now for tee times. I feel bad for staff. Owner needs to fix this course. Many other places to play that take care of their course better
Scheduling Problems
Played on a busy day (Black Friday). Only one negative was our tee time was scheduled for 12:38 but could not tee off until 1:20pm. Was not able to finish all 18. I learned they booked tee times every 7 minutes which probably caused the issue. Also was a shortage of carts.
Fix your greens
Greens still need repairs on the Lakes course. Played here a few months back when they aerated the greens. They've grown back, but still in rough shape. For the price paid I would expect them to be fixed by now. I'll wait 6 months before I go back.
parts were narrow, lots of water but marine life were fine...
Good well maintained course
We enjoyed playing on Monday as the course was not as buzy and the playing pace quite acceptable.
Hope to play there again.
Eagles - Lakes
I thought we had played this course before, once we got going it was apparent we had not. It's in good shape and challenging. Greens are good, couple of T boxes were patchy and sandy. Overall I like the Layout of the Forest Course a bit better. Don't get me wrong there were no disappointments here, you will enjoy this course, go play it.
The Eagles are not flying high
While I see they are trying to improve some areas it appears the course is overplayed. It had not rained in several days and the greens were soggy, bumpy, slow and hairy. Very disappointed.
The. layout was nice and some very nice holes sequences. We played in 4 hours 20 minutes so not a bad pace.
This course has some really good potential with a bit of attention to detail. I look forward to another swipe at it in a month or so
Eagles lakes course
The course was soaked. It probably should not have even been open. Finding a ball hit in the fairway was an adventure on every hole. Balls would not roll in the fairway and most traps were mud pits. We would love to try the course when it is playable.
