One of my favorite courses

Green conditions are good but some ball spots here and there. Fairways and tee boxes probably need more improvements but over conditions were good for the summer season.

Abysmal

Played the course a couple of years ago and decided to give it another try. If I could rate the course less than a 1 I would.

Tee boxes are in bad shape. Some greens had bare spots and crab grass going. Fairways, well not much to say here but if you were on grass, consider yourself lucky.

The rough - does the course own any mowers? I understand making the rough tough but this was ridiculous. Might lose a small child in there. Good luck finding a ball that barely went in.

Another hot day and there was no water on the course and nary a cart girl to be seen.

Honestly I feel I got robbed for the price. Wouldn't go back there if it was free!.

What happened???

I don't write many reviews. I can't remember the last time I have. Writing this was a must. I want to know how some people rated this 4 or 5 stars recently??? Ratings should be monitored...clearly some ballot stuffing going on. Conditions haven't changed considering our experience on Sat was what was described about a month ago too.

I've played The Lakes at least 25 times over the last 10 years...never was it close to this bad. Most fairways and greens were atrocious.

Rough condition

Lakes course fairways are spotty. Tee boxes not well kept. Get what you pay for, quick 9/18 for cheap…can’t complain if you know what you’re in for.
