The Eagles Golf Club - Lakes

I have been golfing Eagles, both Forest and Lakes for several years and I am a resident. The course has been somewhat "abandoned" in care. The fairways are burnt out, and few were cut. Its not just weeds, its like the maintenance staff left town. To be fair, locally we received a lot of rain and perhaps prohibited cutting. Almost every hole my partner or I took time searching for plugged balls on the fairway. I have always been a fan, so it breaks my heart to see the course in this terrible condition. I paid $90/round in 2014 and I would love to see it return to a TPC level course. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I played this course after 3 days of pretty heavy rain. Cartpath only. considering that the course was in really good condition fairways looked pretty good The greens are in really good shape. Very impressed considering the conditions

I am very, very, very disappointed in the management of the Eagles Golf Club on 8/30/20......this golf course was unplayable due to standing water everywhere. Every step you took (fairway, round and on the greens resulted in puddles). My feet were wet from the very start on hole #1. I mean this course was unplayable, This was the worst $90 I have ever spent on a round of golf. We finally gave up on hole #13.......this was an anniversary present for my wife and I and I;m very sad for the results. We are members at Clearwater Country Club and wanted to try a new course for our special day! Bad choice! Jim & Lanie Sheets

first two holes I think were part of the lake. Totally soggy, firmed up slight after that but not enough. 100% of my shots I found within 4' or closer of where they landed. Carts were cart path only which will make this course much better come winter but was a pain today.

Normally a very nice course , Serious drainage problem with recent rains , Should close until it dries out

The Lakes course is usually in better shape than The Forest course because everyone opts for the easier layout. The Lakes is also cheaper to per round. For the price, The Lakes course is average for the area. It has a challenging layout from the back tees and plays long. However, the greens and fairways are usually nice and the tee boxes are not too torn up. The restaurant has a decent menu.

I hear a new management company has taken over the Eagles and currently conditions are very poor. Long grass everywhere just off the fairways. It appears they have not mowed for many weeks. Greens and fairways were good, everywhere else good luck finding you ball.

Hoping things will improve over the coming months.

Greens were excellent. Most teeing areas were VG.

In many areas the rough needed mowing as it was overgrown and very thick/deep. Fairways were VG.

Greens are great! Fairways are good! Rough, needs to be mowed but it was the weekend. Traps could be turned over a bit with the sand raker but it’s the weekend. Overall, great value because the greens are fire right now! I bet if you play during the week when the course has been mowed it’s great! Oh! We never saw the cart girl!
