Stonewall Golf Club at Lake Manassas

Fantastic value for the money. Greens lightning quick and fairways impeccable. Hard to believe it’s not a private club.

The course was way, way too packed for anyone to enjoy. After four hours of play and waiting hole after hole for the slow play to quicken, we eventually gave up, skipped five holes, and called it a day. Driving back to the clubhouse, we saw group after group just standing around waiting. Course shouldn't have let that many groups go out in such a way to get that jammed up. Not coming back.

by far the best course in NOVA. Slck greens in meticulous condition, with well-kept fairways. Hard to believe this is a public course. It is better than most country club courses.

I love Stonewall; nice layout and very pretty back nine. Only complaint is with the condition of greens (maybe due to early in season) and the fact that TOO MANY people aren't fixing their ball-marks on the greens.

The course was in good shape besides some of the greens being bumpy from aeration. Course layout was nice and round took 3.5 hours. I would definitely come play again.

Tee box grass was pretty long, and greens recently aerated, but otherwise fantastic! It should be perfect in a week or 2.

I really like this course, have been here several times, almost every employee I’ve come across has been amazing, friendly and polite, however one employee (manager) completely ruined the experience. After completing 4 holes (including a 5 par) and teeing off hole 5 in the questionable weather in under one hour; 55 minutes (stated course pace of play 4.5 hours) a cart from the group behind us approached us in the middle of our t shots immediately stating “he was the manager here” rudely shaking his head repeatedly stating that we needed to hurry up, and would require us to skip holes if we did not pick up our pace immediately which he said was unacceptable multiple times with clear intended attitude. This pushed us into traffic jams later in the course and still 3 TIMES throughout the round this “managers” group drove balls into our landing zone or past us while we were in the fairway visibly 200-250 yards from the tee box and hittable by drives without calling four. This “manager” should be removed and replaced with a respectable individual suitable of this great course and the game of golf. If we were as disrespectful as this “manager” we would have left every single flag laying on the green and thrown the balls they drove at us into the water or into the woods, but as our group stated we aren’t trash like him. Likely won’t be back due to this one individual “manager” that completely ruined the experience.. There is a right way and a wrong way to approach a group of keeping pace, which we would have been open and responsive to, this was disrespectful and awful. We were ahead of stated pace of play at the time and finished 15 minutes early despite waiting for the group ahead on many holes.

Course wise, love the course, recently aerated and the greens a little spotty but still enjoyable all around.

In my opinion Stonewall is the best non-private course in the DMV!

Golf Magazine was here" They had No Idea" Head to toe" the stay was very nice and accommodating, from the proshop to the guys assisting you.. A few thing that are nice range balls are included" in your tee time fee. So your not dinged with the $10-$15 extra fee.allot of courses charge. to advertise a lower tee time fee" Is this course worth playing, The answer is Yes" no matter what tee box you prefer to play from, fairways were differently well maintained and very forgivable. This course will offer you a few changeling holes, with the par 3 from the tips covering over the 200yard mark. The par 5's are all reachable by the play who will risk the reward, where water does com into play. Ok, all around the course in nice" BE AWARE" The greens have been punched, this is never fun to deal with" sand making your putt just bounce all over. It appears they were punched a few weeks ago" but I also didn't find anything on the website saying this as well"

Bring your GPS/NAV as the carts are NOT equipped. The restaurant food is excellent from your breakfast sandwich to go to a wonderful burger for lunch. This is a true country club with a wonderful lakeside setting and spectacular views

Great layout with some nice elevation changes and views! Greens were recently punched or it would be 5 stars for sure. Will be back if I’m back in the area in the future.

The course is on the brink of mid season form. Greens were recently aerated & sanded, but rolled well. Fairways, Tees & bunkers were in great condition.

Staf was courteous & friendly.

Can’t wait to return soon
