Tough
Great track, nice neighborhood. Tough layout will make you golf your ball and use every club in the bag. Friendly staff, great food. Got a good deal on golf now. Will definitely be back
This course is a challenge take your time and read the greens!
Had a great time and you need to take time to read the greens. Course management is important on this course. It is fun to hit his long but better to hit it in the right place.
bad greens
Great layout and can be very challenging at times. The greens on the front nine were pretty bad. Almost all of them had several brown spots and some had areas with no grass at all. I didn't notice this on the back nine however. That being said...for $27 with a 2pm tee time I was happy with my experience. I probably wouldn't pay more than that though going forward.
Beautiful, challenging course
For what I paid, this should be five stars. It was Masters Saturday for this round which should be taken into consideration however, having played here multiple times, the pace of play on the back nine was/is horribly slow. That's my only complaint on what is otherwise a wonderful course that will challenge most golfers. Has only gotten better (minus pace) since my first round here.
Great staff, course in good shape
Had a good time at the Preserve. Pro Shop staff were super friendly, starter was exceedingly accommodating and helpful. Course is in good shape and greens especially strong this early in the year.
Course is in "Spring" shape
This course is in acceptable condition for the time of year in NC. Greens don't have much grass as the Bermuda is relatively dormant but as spring continues the course will get better.
Stay in the short grass!!
I was by myself and ended up playing with one of the marshals at the course who had some time to play. Turned out to be a great experience. We played off the senior tees, which makes the course more manageable and fun for my 18 handicap (and age!). Still just a little below 6000 yards even off the seniors! Missing the fairways here is costly! It's early in the year so the grass is not growing yet but the fairways were still in great condition. Some of the greens need some work but the ones with grass have lots of break, roll true and fast. I will be back.
Every hole was interesting
Lots of challenging shots, played very long with wind and we had rain the night before. The course overview on website is essential as there are many false front greens that you need to be aware of.
Great day at the Preserve
We really love coming to the Preserve at Jordan Lake. Great layout - makes you use most the clubs in your bag. Greens were hard and fast. Everyone is friendly and relaxed. Makes for a wonderful day of golf.
Great Golf for February
Due to the golf friendly weather conditions of this year, it's hard not to try and take advantage. I was able to play using a Golf Now rate for under $25!!! For a course of this caliber, that was a steal. The conditions for this time of year were great!
Scenic Challenge
The course is in great shape: divots all filled on the fairways, bunkers raked and no apparent pitch marks on the greens. I love the elevation changes on this course as it adds to not only the challenge of the course but the beauty. The greens, while not the fastest I've ever played, are still quite fast and roll true. The greens are all undulating and I think I showed up before a tournement because the pin seemed to be place at the most difficult part on each green. I had more three puts than I'd like to admit.
While not a great course to try and shoot your best score, the challenge of it will force you to up your game. This is one of my favorite courses to play in the Raleigh-Durham area.
Lovely course with challenges
Lovely course and in great shape. Love playing here.
Perfect day, major delays
Course is in good shape for February with the lone exception of several of the greens which had inconsistent surface and even a few bald spots. The round took about 5 hours to complete due to extreme congestion. The pace of pay was painfully slow.
Great Course
Played it once before new greens put in. This is a terrific course. Greens in great shape as was the rest of the course considering its February. A challeinging track with a great variety of holes...a nice mix of some long par 5's, 4's and 3's. I played blue tees 6600 yards and it was a great challenge without being overwhelmed. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Some wonderful elevation changes makes you use all your clubs. This could be my new favorite course.
Golf in February
Still winter golf, great day with temps around 70. Greens were pretty hard and rolled well.
Fairways, of course, have not come in yet so a lot of tight lies.
Enjoyable first round of 2017.
Great January golf
January golf could not be any better. Excellent course, great weather. No one pushing us. We don't push anone. The Preserve is the best course in
