The Preserve at Jordan Lake Golf Club

I don't understand it. Ever since Covid hit two years ago, nearly every course in the area got lazy and stopped doing anything with their bunkers. The Preserve is no exception. Nothing but dirt and gravel. I'm not hitting out of that. Also, no coolers on the course on a 95 degree day??? Come on. Also, get some carts made in this century. Otherwise, course was in pristine shape, greens were excellent and rolled true, and the layout is about as good as you'll find anywhere in the area. Great course, just buy some sand!

Greens are excellent....fairways are filling in nicely. They need to put more sand in the bunkers....especially the greenside traps. Most of them were very compacted and contained lots of gravel/stones.

Great layout,....tough layout....choose your tees wisely or you will go through some golf balls!

Course was beautiful, greens were quick. Played from the tips and the back 9 has you thinking more strategic than the front. Grabbed some lunch after the round at the clubhouse, good service and food selections. Would recommend this course to everyone and will definitely be back.

My guess is they don't adjust the Tee Markers at all, looks like each Tee has just one spot that is just worn out and dead.

Course is in great condition. Very challenging. My major complaint is the fact they are still not putting water out on the course. The fact it is 85 degrees outside and they still are too covid cautious to put out water coolers is asinine. Most golf courses have stopped using covid as a justification for not putting out water. Not this place. They still think covid Is a greater risk outside on a golf course than heat stroke.

Course was in great shape with one exception—many bunkers don’t have enough sand. No, I shouldn’t hit into so many, you’re right, but some had only a quarter-inch in the bottom before you got to the hard pan making proper swing technique impossible. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful course with lovely homes and a challenging layout. Highly recommended.

Pace was good. Challenging golf course.

Overall, I loved the layout. Lots of elevation change and elevated tee shots. It isn't super difficult from the right tees, but it has some challenges. Eveyerhting was starting to green up. Fairways were nice, greens were a bit shaggy and super grainy as a result, which made the speed of putts very inconsistent. Will play again though.

Superb course layout and beautiful surroundings with courteous professional staff. Avery enjoyable round of golf at a picturesque location
