Beautiful shape
The preserve is in beautiful shape! Greens are pure, fairways are pure, and course conditions couldn’t have been better! Was a great day out there.
A top value in the triangle
Course is in great condition aside fro. Bunkers in disrepair - but easy enough to keep them out of play.
Tough course, but fun to play
Got to play The Preserve for the first time in a few years. Got paired up with three locals and had a good time. The course is in good shape, although a few tee boxes were wanting for grass. Greens were good and putted well . The only negative would be the bunkers, that felt like hitting off of concrete., but it was a very hot day . Be prepared to bring plenty water to drink because you won’t find any on the course.

Front 9 was not that great condition wise back was good tough course it was hot and there wasn’t any water on the course
Good course
The layout of the course was good. There were a couple barren spots around some of the greens. The sands traps were inconsistent. Some traps were soft and some were firm. Other than that the course was in good shape and is a challenging course.
Decent Track
$55 for play on memorial day is not bad at all. Overall, the layout of the course is great and the course is challenging. Fairways and greens were in great shape but teeboxes were bad and bunkers were miserable (we played them all as grounds under repair).
Overall, I will play this course again but I dont think I would be paying more than $55 for its current condition.
Pretty good track
Played here for the first time this month. It feels like this may have been a stellar place to play at one time but now feels a little neglected. Grass on the tee boxes was sparse and the rough contained a lot of weeds and bunkers were washed out.
Biggest complaint was the kid in the pro shop upon check in seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Couldn’t be bothered to help me feel welcome I was 90 mins ahead of my tee time as a single and offered to tee off earlier if that would help them consolidate tee times and create openings. He didn’t even “see what he could do” as he was more interested in whatever he was doing on his phone.
Overall, I would give this place a B-
Highly Recommend
Just moved to NC from CA, and absolutely loved the course. Great deal for excellent conditions. Sand in the bunkers was a bit tough and some had water in the bottom. Other than that, beautiful fairways and greens. Lovely course design and layout. Would definitely recommend!
