Tuesday Edition of the Valiant Gentlemen's Club
We play this course every week. It's a short course with a par 62 and it's just so much fun having an abundance of par 3's to make par and birdies on. The course itself has some rolling mounds, tree lines and nice bunkers to make the course challenging but enjoyably playable for even beginners. I've only been playing for 2 years! They have a decent snack bar, friendly staff, a full service club house, and affable snack cart professionals. Sometimes they want to stack up certain tee times, so if you're looking to play alone, or unencumbered by awkward small talk, you may ask to start on 10, or skip a hole or two only to return afterwards. We'll keep playing every week!
Practice your short game
Great course to work on your irons and chipping game. Greens rolled true.
Thanks for the great comment about our greens. Drive for show and putt for dough! See you next time at The Golf Club at Audubon Park!
Best Kept secret in N.O.
I Loved the hospitality given to me and my wife playing this course. The layout was great and the course played great considering all the rain that just had passed. Loved it
Hi Carl. We strive to provide the best customer service each and everyday and when you leave great feedback like this it makes it feel good about our work here! See you next time at The Golf Club at Audubon Park!
great course for iron play, moderately challenging, well maintained with friendly staff' Beverage cart always around and handy. The" cart path only" was inconvenient as I am some what challenged but in all a good experience.
Thank you for your very kind comments! . We are so glad you enjoyed your round and hope to see you soon.
Jim from Chicago
Great muni course. Greens in great shape. Interesting ambiance. Short but challenging.
Hi Jim from Chicago. Glad you enjoyed your experience and thanks for the kind words about our greens. Come see us next time your in town! Go Cubs!
Fun round
I enjoy playing the course good for accurate play
Glad you had a great time! See you next time at the Golf Club at Audubon Park.
Short and challenging
I was disappointed at the length of the course. However the course design made it much more challenging than its par 62.
Overall nice course 3 hour pace of play is also a bonus.
Glad you had a great experience and got the round in a reasonable time! Come see us next time your in town. Thanks for playing The Golf Club at Audubon Park!
Golfing in Uptown
My first time playing Audubon and I really enjoyed it. This is a short course and I was able to finish it playing alone in about 2:45. My tee time was for 9am and I got going just before the crowds started coming in. The course was in great condition and it was just as great taking in the scenery. Just once, I had 2 lost people walking down a cart part, but other than that everyone was busy walking, jogging and biking and minding their business. Great course - can't wait to go back.
Hi Blacmacc. Glad you had a great experience and got the round in a reasonable time. Come back and see us soon! Thanks for playing The Golf Club at Audubon Park!
Great Executive Course
Value was great due to a Hot Deal. Greens and fairways were in excellent condition. This course has 12 par 3 holes but don't be fooled. Several are very challenging. Played on a Thursday afternoon with one other player. Zero delays on the tee boxes or fairways.
If you play on weekends pace will be much slower.
Good day of Golf in the Big Easy
Audubon Park Golf club is a nice place to play a round of golf . Layout is good for a golf course smack in the middle of the city . 12 par 3 holes some over 200 yards and takes some good shot making to hold the greens . Golf path only course therefore get ready to walk a lot . Putting green under repair on our visit . Great course to work on short game . The view is great - people walking , jogging in park along the way .Staff nice and friendly . Well worth price on a HOT DEAL !
Holy greens!
I've been playing this course for years, always enjoy the hybrid par 3 layout. Conditions are normally pretty solid, but the greens regressed in the last year. As a result, i gave the course a rest for a few months. But my most recent experience was nothing short of spectacular. The condition of the course was unlike anything I've seen in the area. PERFECT velvet putting surfaces. Do yourself a favor and play the course ASAP. I hate giving out a good secret, but I can't hold this one back. Nola golfers need to know!
beautiful
The course, weather staff were excellent! We enjoyed our time playing and will definitely return!
A real letdown
First things first - this is an executive course - par 62. People visiting the park are allowed to walk anywhere - even across the fairway when you're in mid-swing. The greens were like the rough. Horrible conditions. Players taking 8-9 shots out of the bunkers. The staff doesn't even try to be friendly. Carts have to be in by 5:30. No exceptions. Traffic around the park is abysmal.
This was hands down the worst round of the money in a long time. I'd put it in my top 2 worst golf experiences easy. The birds were nice though.
It is an executive course
Did not know the curse has mostly par 3s in its layout. It is 4,200 from the back tees.
Nice challenge
I was a bit dubious about paying $50 for an executive course, but it was worth it. $20 for a repeat round was a pleasant surprise.
This is a challenging layout with challenging bunkers on most of the holes. While not shooting directly over the water, it comes into play on several holes. It pays to be accurate.
The two par 5s are challenging and a lot of fun. The most difficult hole on the course is a 167 - 212 par 3. If you can't drive the green, even an accurate tee shot is in danger of rolling into the water along the right side. Trees on the left make a well placed tee shot a must on this hole.
There is a major distraction on this tract - walking/biking is permitted, so you end up with people wondering all over the place.
Pace of play is fairly quick, even when the course is crowded.
very well kept course even during wet winter season
enjoyed playing. weather has not been too good in new orleans this winter raining and cold so i was glade to play an enjoyed the experience
A MUST COURSE
Wife and I had a awesome time beautiful, pace was gr8 ,greens true and frim plenty of challenging holes a true gem.would. When we travel back out here will play again. Staff let us play alone and tee off early . Club house and landscape a plus
