It is an executive course
Did not know the curse has mostly par 3s in its layout. It is 4,200 from the back tees.
Nice challenge
I was a bit dubious about paying $50 for an executive course, but it was worth it. $20 for a repeat round was a pleasant surprise.
This is a challenging layout with challenging bunkers on most of the holes. While not shooting directly over the water, it comes into play on several holes. It pays to be accurate.
The two par 5s are challenging and a lot of fun. The most difficult hole on the course is a 167 - 212 par 3. If you can't drive the green, even an accurate tee shot is in danger of rolling into the water along the right side. Trees on the left make a well placed tee shot a must on this hole.
There is a major distraction on this tract - walking/biking is permitted, so you end up with people wondering all over the place.
Pace of play is fairly quick, even when the course is crowded.
very well kept course even during wet winter season
enjoyed playing. weather has not been too good in new orleans this winter raining and cold so i was glade to play an enjoyed the experience
A MUST COURSE
Wife and I had a awesome time beautiful, pace was gr8 ,greens true and frim plenty of challenging holes a true gem.would. When we travel back out here will play again. Staff let us play alone and tee off early . Club house and landscape a plus
WOW COURSE
Fantastic day pace gr8 beautiful challenging Loved it
Fun round of golf
Great golf course in excellent condition.Played in three hours. Enjoyable round of golf.Very scenic course set around live oaks in a historic park.
Bring a pull cart and walk, cart path only
Although cart path only, pace of play very good, lots of golfers on the course, walkers and riders shared the course well and we were allowed play through with no real backups. Starter very helpful and the course had a cart girl driving through with refreshments every few holes. 12 par 3s and two par 5s make this a fun and challenging course with some water hazards. Pin placements were interesting, kept you guessing and greens rolled true.
Great Course & Great Price!
Another great experimence at this course! Greens were a bit slower this time around. Played during the week at a great price!
Love Audubon
My favorite course in the New Orleans area that I've played. Excellent conditions and beautiful, peaceful scenery makes you forget you're right in the city. It's a shorter course, which I enjoy anyway. There are a few long holes though.
Great Course
Staff is awesome, conditions were amazing and all around great environment. Short course, but lots of fun. GET OUT THERE!
Nooawlins at its best
7:30 tee time = 3 hours to play with comfortable temperature and pristine green complexes. Enjoyed the entire 18 holes wish i had time to replay. Rental clubs were very nice lots of choices.
First time at the course, awesome
Really enjoyed course, only down side is it is busy so if you want to play alone and get around by yourself, or don't want to be paired up...it wouldn't be for you
Audubon
Audubon is a wonderful course to enjoy your golf. It's not very hard except for a few holes. The price is reasonable for the course, setting & facilities. I will definitely play there on many more occasions but I wish they could improve the greens or at least make them consistent. The practice green is wonderful however there are only two or three greens on the course that are similar. Many of the others vary from grassy and slow to having a lot of ground under repair and sand. Fix the greens and the course would be excellent, but good value for money. Oh & the bunker breakfast sandwich - ridiculously good. I won't play golf there again without having one before
Beautiful Course
This was my first time to play Audubon but it was a good experience. Course was a little crowed, but that would be expected on a Sunday afternoon. It is a very well kept course with beautiful oak trees. It is an executive layout so only two par 5's on the course with lots of par 3's. The only negative is there is no driving range and chipping area to warm up.
Random People Walking by is Intimidating
This was my first time playing Audubon Park Golf Course, and I have to say I was a bit nervous during my round. I'm a novice with decent iron contact by playing several rounds a month. But this course presented a few more unqiue challenges that likely effected my round. People walking in the park, for me, is intimidating. Now let me be clear...there are a few holes that are directly next to walking paths (and I have no self esteem qualms about hitting a worm-burner 25' in front of the tee box), and a solid shank would make a few people dance. That luckily did not happen to me - but the thought of it potentially happening made feel awkward every tee shot on those holes.
The only downside during my round was non-golfers walking the golf pathways... That's not the club's fault; but I had wait a few minutes for 3 people to clear off the hole before I'd actually tee off.
Besides my unforgiving fear of hitting someone...this course was very different being mostly par3s. It was a good lesson in shot planning as this course challenges your club selection and precision. Some of the greens needed repairs, but overall this has to be the best landscaped (and most beautiful) golf course I've been on in the New Orleans area.
I would go back to play again with some friends, because 18 holes here can be completed in under 3hrs.
Beautiful course in a beautiful setting.
Audubon is a gem. Only minutes away from Downtown New Orleans, it's an executive course that plays plenty tough. The price is right and the round usually takes three hours or less. You'll love the experience.
Beautiful
Great golf in a beautiful setting. Above average condition with water coming into play on several holes. Some deep sand bunkers and greens that have slops that can be a challenge to read. A must play in New Orleans and since this is an executive course, it can be played in less time than a regular course. Nice if you're on vacation and want to slip away for a few hours. Audubon Zoo is just across Magazine Street.
great time
excellent course, fairways, greens, path, scenery, a great time was had not at the office. a couple greens were partially fenced off
Good course
Great course mostly par 3 and par 4 love the short game
