Uptown golf
The course was in good shape. It's challenging and friendly at the same time. Short on time, play here to improve your short game.
Really cool fast course
Got there early to hit range, but they don't have one. So I got out early & quickly. Played solo, wide open. Par 62 with a bunch of par 3's, which was why I played it quickly. I enjoyed it, especially being from California. Recommended.
Great Course
I play this course 3x a month. Yesterday, we walked 18 after the Saints game and finished in 2-1/2 hours. Most of the time it takes forever to get thru 18, and I can't understand why for the life of me because the course is so short. I think the course allows too many people to play without a tee time, and there are too many novices out there who don't have a clue. The rest are just plain slow. Today, the course was in great shape. Very soft greens and well maintained fairways. This is one of the best public courses in the City. The only downside is how short it is. I wish the architect would have visited NOCC before he rebuilt the course because they managed to fit in a par 71 hole course in the same size space. Other than that, the course is a gem.
Pretty, enjoyable and relaxing
Friendly staff and nice facility. Everybody should enjoy this course.
Love this little course by the Audubon Zoo
I was brought to this course by some coworkers a few years ago and thought it was a great little course. I have brought many friends back with me since then and everyone loves it and ask when are we going back... One of the best short courses in the Country and the Course is always in Mint Condition.
Great Course
The greens and the whole course was lush like you'd expect from a high end resort course. Its always cart path only but you never have to walk very far. The old oaks and spanish moss, flowers, palms even roses. There are a bunch of par 3s but that just makes for more hole in one opportunities. Don't miss it!
Well manicured throughout.
This is an excellent course, very well maintained, with enough bunker and water to make it interesting. The two par 5s were really interesting strategy holes. I had to rent clubs and thought the $40 pricey but it was a matched set.
Great track. Fast pace.
Great fun course. In good shape. Some bad spots on the greens, but it appears they are doing everything they can to fix them. Great practice for mid irons and approach shots. Small course, but most greens are pretty big.
best value in new orleans
tougher than the yardage suggests
mix of long and short par 3s
well maintained
audubon
excellent course for people with limited time.
great shape
Not a happy day
First time playing the course. The price is a little high, even for being a historical place.
The only sandwich they had was a cold truly sandwich for about $8. It was dry and nothing on it.
It rained before I finished the first 9. They don't give rain checks. I drive about 75 mikes just to play there. They could have done something. It's not like I wanted my money back, just maybe a 9 hole pass for the future.
Some holes were a little confusing for the first time player there and i played alone. From the tee box you could see 2 flags close together, and not knowing exactly which is yours.
The flow went well. I finished the 8th and teed off on the 9th when the bottom fell out with heavy rain. I would have finishes the front 9 in two hours, which was good.
Rained Out
One of the most enjoyable courses in the New Orleans area. The course offers a challenge to your short game, with strategic green placements guarded by bunkers. Even though this is a short course you will enjoy playing the 2 par 5s one front and one back, four par 4s, and 12 par 3s. Although we got rained out from a down pour, we had a wonderful time. Will revisit this course again in the near future.
NOLA GEM
The rain slowed play down a bit, but this is an ideal place to play during the week. On the weekends its busy. The solar powered orange carts are well equipped and a good change of pace of the standard white carts. The cart path only rule really helps keep this course in top condition. A lot of par threes and a lot of birdie and eagle opportunities. The only downfall is that this course doesn't have a practice facility, just a putting green.
This course demands your attention to your short game.
Excellent challenge to positioning your golf ball and also working on your short game.
Short and sweet!
DO NOT look at the scorecard for this course and think it's not real golf. Often people see the par of 62 or the 5700 yard length and think - short and easy. Short on length, long on substance, this is what a reconstruct on a limited plot of land can be.
The old Audubon layout was an unappealing slog. The renovated Audubon will test every club in your bag and make you realize how good your iron game needs to be. Course is always in great shape and the greens are among the best in the South - there is rarely a blemish on them. Being short the pace of play is usually excellent, and the length lends itself to a somewhat easier round for younger players and newbies. There are only a couple of forced carries. In the city proper, you could catch a streetcar and ride uptown, then walk through Audubon Park to the clubhouse. Great for people short on time or business folks.
Everything a golfer loves.
Been playing here for last few yrs since the makeover. Beautiful scenic views that include southern women, trees grass & water. Great manicure job. Course is challenging enough and fun. New carts - the Sunday brunch buffet is 50% off for golfers and well worth it at full price. 1 jeers.- the regular beverage diva, could learn a lesson in "how to get tips" from today's bev cart cuttie.
Very scenic course
I found a great deal on GolfNow for a single in three hours. The day was sunny, little wind and met and talked to several other golfers. I can't wait to go again.
Fun day
It had rained a lot the night before, but stopped a few hours before tee time. The louds clearded out and the course dried up as we played. The course was in great shape ( except for the sand bunkers) the staff was very nice and we had a club sandwich after our round. The course has a nice mix of long and very short holes wich are harder than you first think.
