PGA WEST Greg Norman Course

Course was in great shape. Beautiful views, fast greens and a 5 time felon!

We play this course as often as possible and it is by far our FAVORITE course in the desert.

Today I must emphasize the miraculous work done by the greens keeping crew to maintain this immaculate course that we play on. We rent a home that is on No. 5 . This past week during 3 days of wind and some rain and blowing debris , we watched and witnessed such devotion, such painstakingly great care of the course day and night. In the dark with headlights etc, The devotion to course maintanence was a sight to be seen. I tip my hat to this entire team.

This course and all staff associated with it are highly appreciated and respected.

Everything was excellent with one exception. I don’t understand why the restaurant and bar is closed so early. A beer after a good round would have been very welcome.

Fastest greens we’ve played on in a while, running at a 12. Course was in perfect condition, as they were ready to host a major college tournament.

This is our favorite course to play in this lovely desert which speaks volumes as there are so many here.

Starter staff not accommodating for the cost

Second time at the PGA west complex but first at this course. A very different clubhouse experience compared to the Nicklaus course. Less grand and polished feeling, felt less premium for the high price tag. The course however was magnificent, my first time on a desert style course and incredibly enjoyable all round.

With that being said there was a frustrating club rental experience having called the club the day before to speak to the rental manager, who ensured me there would be plenty of stiff shaft club availability for our group to rent. I was assured there were more than enough on property to accommodate our 6 total players (across 2 groups). When we arrived we were told there was only 1 set available and the rest would have to be regular flex. When I mentioned that I had checked the day before to make sure we could be accomodated, I was told that the policy was “first come first served” by the lady in the club shop, so afternoon golfers who are looking to rent beware.

Course was in great condition and a joy to play. Easy to navigate from the whites with the right amount of challenge from that length course. Lots of sand to navigate but nothing unfair.

Other than paying the rental fee to play a premium and challenging course with clubs that weren’t appropriate, the experience was top draw.

Had a 3pm T time , so only got in 15 holes. But what a nice course. Great conditions, wide fairways, and beautiful views of the mountains. I’d play it again in a heartbeat.

There is very little that can be improved upon here. The bag team was quick and efficient. The pro shop staff was very welcoming and appreciative of our business. The practice green, chipping green and driving range were all a short walk from the clubhouse and in great shape. The starter was friendly and effective at optimizing the departures. From the first tee box through the last putt, the conditions were as good as any course I have ever played. Greens were quick (9) and rolled true. The bunkers, despite their small size and terrifying depth were immaculate. The fairways were like a carpet. Everywhere you looked was scenery worth remembering. It’s admittedly pricey, but a good deal from GolfNow turned a nice day into a truly memorable golf experience.
