PGA WEST Greg Norman Course

Unhappy and unhelpful….. arrived early for my teetime and would not allow me to hit balls until half an hour before tee off….definitely fealt like a second class citizen

Way better options in the valley

Stay away this course wasn’t worth the price! The greens they say are newer and were way to firm, when i called before i booked i asked if the greens had been punched they said no, once we started playing we realized at least 7-8 holes had been punched. Even if the greens weren’t punched this course was boring and not worth the price. Played PGA west stadium course the next day and that made up for what would have been a huge let down of a trip if we only played at Norman. Trust me stay away unless you love terrible courses with boring flat layouts.

Played this in years past and it was nice. They did a face lift and although it will be nice again it is not a good time to play it now . Give it a year and it will be better. The overseed did not come in great and they did not overseed greens probably because they are new. They should have discounted the round because of condition but actually having less pkay on the course for a year will help. I would pass on it this year and try for next year if you are out here every year.

I was diappointed in the course condition. The fairways were patchy and the greens were rock hard. I have played this course before and it was beautiful. For $168, I expect better.

What a massive disappointment. You think PGA West and make assumptions about the quality of the experience you are going to have. Wrong !! The Greg Norman course is in terrible shape. It started at the driving range where we were hard pressed to find grass to hit off of. Our time was 1115 so you would think there would still be some grass - nope. It was almost all sand.

The course itself was terrible. The fairways were barely had grass on them. There were huge areas all of over the fairways that were bare. We had to bump our ball all day to find some grass. The areas in front of the greens were even worse, huge bald areas all over the place, on every hole. There were also large areas that were so wet it played as casual water.

The greens were a decent speed and rolled fairly well, although could have been better.

Hope you read this and save your money.

Not a good value. Fairway grass is unfavorable compared to other courses in the valley. Condition of practice area is a average at best

Course in excellent shape. Greens were very hard & fast. Could have been a little softer and more forgiving but quite the challenge putting

We liked many things staff friendliness, layout, greens especially but there was little to super short to thin grass on many fairways.

Cart path only during the time we played. The greens were quick. Didn’t hold any of our approach shots. Tough track.

Keep it in play and conditions are perfect….

Miss a fairway and almost guaranteed a bogey or worse!

Pro shop staff were very helpful and welcoming. The course was in great shape with very fast greens. Really liked the computer screen on the cart showing the layout and distances of each hole, tips, and scorecard. I would play at this course again.

If you like sand, you will like this course. The bummer for us was that they had just seeded the fairways and it was cart path only. It got to be very tiring after 13 holes and we were very disappointed having to pay so much to play and have to walk back and forth across the fairways. I would have preferred to walk had I had the chance. Courses should give a heads up when there is maintenance like that so the golfer has a choice to play or not.

Obviously being over seeded and greens were rock hard.
