Jedburgh Golf Club

About
Celebrating more than a century of great golf in the Scottish Borders, Jedburgh Golf Club is a parklands course that will delight and challenge golfers of all levels and from all parts of the globe. Having grown from a nine-hole run to an 18-hole course in 2006, Jedburgh has hosted some of the greatest Scottish golfers in history, including the legendary Colin Montgomerie.
Set amidst rolling hills and awe-inspiring scenery, Jedburgh is near the town of Dunion Hill. Gradual slopes highlight the well-manicured greens at Jedburgh, where water will come into play and accuracy is rewarded. Nonetheless, golfers of all skill levels will find Jedburgh a fair yet stern test for their games.
Originally designed by Willie Park in 1893, the course celebrated its centennial with a match between Montgomerie and club champion Calum Brown. The new nine holes were designed by Alistair Connell. The 18-hole run plays to nearly 6,000 yards from the back tees, and features holes with Scottish-inspired names like the No. 13 Cheviot View and the No. 16 Linthaughlee, a lengthy and challenging par 3.

Borders break
Greens were not the best, slow with bald patches.
No complaints about the rest of the course
Jedburgh
Lovely warm welcome from members …..challenging layout very picturesque….. Will return soon
Never experienced greens in such poor condition
Very disappointed in the condition of the tees and greens but in particular the greens
May as well not putted out as either too hairy around cups, or damaged in large sections
The course layout is good and views from top of course are stunning but wouldnt be rushing bacjk at £35
What a lovely place
Sitting proudly above the pretty town of Jedburgh this is a gem of a course. Everyone is xtrenrly friendly and Naomi’s kitchen provided a great breakfast and lunch. The course is hilly it may take a while to get used to the uneven lies. Persevere and you are rewarded with fabulous views and a fair test of golf.
Looking forward to playing the course again when your bunkers have been given loving care and attention .
Enjoy this course more every time
Have played this course a number of times as a stop on my travels between the NE of England and Scotland. This morning I was first in the course and it was glorious. A bit of dew on the grass but that helped me track my golf balls. Most enjoyable morning and set me up nicely for the rest of the days graft. Love this course more and more each time I play it. Wonderful course in wonderful location with spectacular views.
Fine autumn days golf
Broke up my journey from Newcastle to Dundee with a relaxing round of golf on a glorious autumn day. The colours on the course and the views were fantastic. Course in great condition as always. Staff and members and dog walkers all very friendly. Early evening sun made the 14th and 15th a bit tricky. 13th is a great hole, but the short 14th is challenging it to be my favourite. Whizzed round in just under 3 hours. Look forward to my next stop over and another round on an excellent course.
Quick round between the showers
Really enjoyed a midweek knock, stopping off on my journey between the NE England and Dundee. Clubhouse closed and course very quiet. Course in great condition. Was able to whizz round in under 3 hours. Quite hilly in places, esp up to the 10th tee. 13th a fantastic hole and I really enjoyed the par 3 14th. Lots of interesting holes and an enjoyable challenge. Looking forward to next time already.
Lovely 18 holes in the Borders
Played Jedburgh with two of my brothers and we all enjoyed it very much. Although the weather was a bit damp the greens played well. The course was in good condition for the time of the year, a lot of work has been done by the green staff. The clubhouse was a warm welcoming affair, would definitely play again.
Needs some TLC
Great views, lovely club house, bunkers need a lot of work, greens were average
Friendly people with great selection of reasonably priced food.
Course was in great condition and the windy day added to the challenge.
great views of the countryside
Hidden gem. Tricky with lots to interest!
First time playing this course, and it’s a lot trickier than we thought! Long and hilly, with spectacular views of the Cheviot hills. Very well looked after, and very friendly welcome. Great home cooking in the clubhouse. Highly recommend.
Well worth the detour
Really enjoyed my round on a fantastic golf course. An interesting set of challenges, starting with SI 1 on the first hole ! The 13th is a wonderful hole. Staff exceptionally friendly as were the members. Worth noting that the members I came across don’t appear to play the holes on sequence, but they were very nice about cutting in or practicing their chipping. Stopped off at Jedburgh on my journey from the NE to Dundee. Will certainly be making the detour again.
18-hole review
This was the first time I had played the course since it was extended to 18. Overall enjoyed the new layout, some great new holes which will only get better as they mature.
Very scenic
A very scenic course and fortunately played it on a lovely day. It’s very hilly The course was in good condition Greens ok a bit slow. The rough was dense not easy to get out of and lost a couple of balls
Not an easy course so although it is short still very testing
