A nine-hole run located 32 miles south of Edinburgh in the Scottish Borders, Innerleithen Golf Course is set in the scenic valley of the river Leithen. Playing to 3,033 yards, Innerleithen is the perfect walking course, where a golfer can enjoy his favorite game in one of Scotland's most scenic locales.

The starting hole will immediately showcase the challenge that Innerleithen presents. A par 3 with the green surrounded on three sides with water, accuracy is a must, as it is throughout the entire course. The well-maintained greens and fairways will entice golfers of all levels, but those looking to mark down a low score will need to keep the ball in the fairway and be tidy with their approach shots. The course also includes the challenging No. 5 hole, which is a par 3 with an elevated green and will have you shooting over a road. Also, long hitters will be able to let fly with their drivers on the No. 8 hole, a 524-yard par 5.

With a stream coming into play on six holes, golfers will be challenged to avoid losing any golf balls as they'll have to also battle the incredible scenic qualities of Innerleithen, which will captivate both a player's game, and imagination. At at just £20 per round, players will get more for their money at Innerleithen Golf Club than at perhaps any other club in the prodigious Scottish Borders golf

region.

Hidden Gem

A hidden gem, with 2 or 3 quirky holes and a couple of long Par 5's, so is still a test for the big hitter. Greens are well kept.

Occasional red kite flying above, so something to look out for. Greenkeepers are very friendly and up for a laugh. Can't recommend this course highly enough, I try to play here a couple of times a year.

Hidden gem

Lovely nine hole course, everyone very friendly in the clubhouse,

We had some lovely food in the clubhouse and they have a great menu that includes Gluten Free food.

Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Quirky course well worth a visit

Very friendly and welcoming staff on my arrival and explained the course and layout.

Facilities were clean and tidy.

9 hole course played from different tees for each 9 adding to the experience. Some testing holes with some lovely scenery with a few extra hazards as the course runs along a local road.

Course was in good condition and well maintained.

Well worth a visit

First Visit

Really enjoyed my first round at Innerleithen Golf Club. I am not a good golfer and play infrequently but felt comfortable playing this course. Would return for another round. The club house catering was very good. Everyone we met members, staff and golfers were very friendly

Tricky 9 hole

Nice quirky 9 hole course which was in good condition although the greens were very slow. Situated in a valley between the hills means beautiful surroundings but can get a bit windy. We played on a Wednesday which happens to be one of the days that the clubhouse is closed. There was no prior notice of this so we were unable to grab a snack or drink unfortunately.

Beautiful setting

A most enjoyable round of golf. After a couple of miscalculations on front 9 it was good to be able to tackle the same holes again.

Fairways and greens in good condition and some quirky holes. Beautiful, tranquil setting yet only 50 mins drive from Edinburgh.

Only disappointment was website catering hours are out of date so we had to drive back into Innerleithen for something to eat before teeing off.

Would definitely go back.

Well worth a drive!

A very picturesque course with views of Lee Pen. In spite of the recent wet weather, both greens and fairways were in excellent condition due to great natural drainage. There were some great holes with elevated tees with some nice quirks and a couple of tricky bunkers, making what would otherwise be quite a flat course, interesting to play. Staff and patrons were extremely friendly and welcoming to guests. The course was well-laid out, meaning you’re never too far from the clubhouse, which was open for food until 3pm (winter visit). One or two extra signs would have been nice to help you find your way, but after the front 9 you get used to the layout. I would highly recommended this course to both beginners and seasoned golfers.

Really nice little 9 hole course

Would agree with a lot of commentary on here. In great condition, the guy who booked us in was fantastic. Some tough holes mixed with more forgiving ones. Maybe not your course if you play off single figures but for the average golfer, it's a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon for a very reasonable price.

Great wee track

Lovely 9 hole course 15 minute drive from peebles. Mainly flat with some clever use of elevated tees.

Only negative comment would be difficult to find anyone to speak to when arrived .

Worth a visit

Played as a rwo ball at 11.00am. Very warm and helpful welcome from club steward. Wonderful setting with great scenery. Course is great fun with some challenging holes and a tricky stream coming into play. A road passes through course and is busy with mountain bikers. Course condition pretty good and would not hesitate to recommend and play again. Good value. Excellent refreshments on offer.

Great wee course

Had a good round of golf at this quirky 9 hole course. Most of the holes have a bit of character and as such stay in the memory. Greens still have to come on a bit, but that can be expected this early in the season. Great value too.

Hidden gem

We played this as part of the hole way round.

A fantastic wee hidden gem, in amongst the hills. A few challenging holes and a lot of thinking to be done on the tees. But the condition was fantastic.
