A nine-hole run located 32 miles south of Edinburgh in the Scottish Borders, Innerleithen Golf Course is set in the scenic valley of the river Leithen. Playing to 3,033 yards, Innerleithen is the perfect walking course, where a golfer can enjoy his favorite game in one of Scotland's most scenic locales.

The starting hole will immediately showcase the challenge that Innerleithen presents. A par 3 with the green surrounded on three sides with water, accuracy is a must, as it is throughout the entire course. The well-maintained greens and fairways will entice golfers of all levels, but those looking to mark down a low score will need to keep the ball in the fairway and be tidy with their approach shots. The course also includes the challenging No. 5 hole, which is a par 3 with an elevated green and will have you shooting over a road. Also, long hitters will be able to let fly with their drivers on the No. 8 hole, a 524-yard par 5.

With a stream coming into play on six holes, golfers will be challenged to avoid losing any golf balls as they'll have to also battle the incredible scenic qualities of Innerleithen, which will captivate both a player's game, and imagination. At at just £20 per round, players will get more for their money at Innerleithen Golf Club than at perhaps any other club in the prodigious Scottish Borders golf

region.

A little gem worth a visit

Played as a two ball at 12.00 for £12.00 as hot deal. Nine hole course along the river flood plain. Very warm welcome from members who we spoke to. Tough par 3 to open . Flatish course with a couple of climbs up to Tees. Some great holes and views are stunning. A couple of drives are close to oncoming players and if course very busy could get hairy. A road passes right through the course. Glad it was nine holes as needed front nine to get to know it. Back nine scoring much better as a result. Fairways and greens in really good condition and a pleasure to play. There is a quirky par three being the fifth but it is fun to play. Overall really enjoyed our visit and would recomend. Not much off course facilities with coffee machine and vending machine for cold drinks and chocolate.

A Hidden Gem

Innerleithen is a quirky 9 hole course which has a good variety of holes and is very enjoyable to play. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were as good as you'll find on courses at 4 times the price. Well done to the green keepers. We arrived an hour prior to our tee time and were looking forward to a bacon buttie. Unfortunately we were disappointed and, despite signs advertising snacks and coffees it appears that they are only served on a Saturday. As we played on a Sunday we were a day late!! On arrival we were met by a very helpful committee member who took time to explain the course layout. The only negative downside was that I got a ticking off by a member for playing off the white tees. This is an outdated policy and, if you are a low handicap golfer visiting the course you want to play the course at its full length.
