Peebles Golf Club
About
HS Colt designed course with good quality turf, greens and the stunning views. It is a prime example of a challenging Scottish upland golf course described as 'not totally flat'.
Peebles is an upland golf course of great character. The air is clean and the surrounding hills provide something of a micro-climate. Of course it sometimes rains and in spring and autumn there are occasional windy days but we get many days of glorious summer sunshine. Bring a sweater and your rain-gear just in case. It is all part of the challenge of golfing in Scotland.
The golf course is not totally flat but the slopes are not unduly demanding. Motorised buggies are available (3 only). Contact the Professional to hire one.
The club has a new clubhouse, opened in 1998 by H.R.H. Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Showers, a comfortable bar, lounge and restaurant await you after your round. The members and staff will offer you a warm welcome.

Wonderful Experience
Generous fairways and opulent greens. All players were very willing to let faster players through. A must play for all!
On your list
Played in the Mixed Greensomes yesterday and the course was in great condition, good growth on the fairways giving a good lie, lush rough, as it should be, with a fair first cut, greens were fast and in superb condition.
The staff and club volunteers were most welcoming with time for a chat, overall, a great day.
Should you be planning golf in the Borders region, this should be up there on your list, you will not be disappointed.
Superb views across Peebles and the hills beyond.
Excellent day on a demanding course in super condition especially the greens! Friendly staff in pro shop and bar.
Exceptional course!
Haven't played Peebles golf course for a few years but its still as good as I remember. Greens in excellent condition and a diverse range of holes to experience. Booking was effortless and staff very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back and would recommend Peebles to anyone thinking about playing here. Just get it booked!
Must visit
I love this course. The scenic views, the elevated greens, the picturesque par 3s, what more could you want. I was surprised at how quiet the course was even for 8:15am. The clubhouse is nice inside, not a lot of staff, felt I was wandering around without much guidance. The members weren't very friendly but a minor point.
Good course
The day I played there was a competition on so that’s why my rating for pace of play is only 1 star, staff was very friendly gave us a good showing of the course but overall the course was lovely
Peebi
Course and greens were in fantastic condition for the time of year could not have been better.
Clubhouse good and staff were excellent
Views fantastic
Just be aware if you book it's a could walk but you don't get those views if you don't go uphill
Overall great
The clubhouse was closed when we played on Jan 2nd and the clubhouse facilities were not available to us and although it was cold when we played you could see that it is a lovely course and warranted a return visit in the summer when the weather would hopefully be a bit warmer, We met several member's out on the course while we played and a friendlier group of people would be hard to find, I would recommend to anyone visiting the area that it is a (must play) while you are there. Even on a winter's day the view's are outstanding!
Gem in Peebles
Course was in great shape with friendly atmosphere and in a beautiful location. Could not have been made more welcome.
Would definitely recommend playing here
Brilliant Course
Stunning views and great golf. Only negative was no food available
Friends on Tour
We decided to play this course and reading reviews we had no concerns. Arrived but disappointed that food wasnt on until 12...anyway....
We had a brilliant day here, we were all different handicaps and some not the longest hitters. The variety of holes definitely helped and the simplist details we lovely... Especially the golf shoe as plant pots.
Course was in fantastic condition and everyone we met was very friendly and asked if we enjoyed, something other members don't usually ask.
We will play again very soon but next time some of the lads will use a buggy.
Well done Peebles Golf Club for a cracking course and great days golf.
Excellent value for money
We were welcomed by a very friendly and informative member of staff who showed us the ropes. We enjoyed the walk, on a hot day and maybe the golf cart was maybe a better idea as there are some steep inclines but a nice walk all the same. Some very challenging holes, and course knowledge would have helped but didn't make the visit any less enjoyable. I will definitely be back soon.
If u like inclines ..
Excellent condition .. but not an ideal layout if your power trolley “dies” going up the second joke ., my fault , but boy does it just keep going up and up
Peebles on a sunny day
The course was in immaculate condition and superbly laid out on a glorious sunny day
The clubhouse was also well laid out and stocked with the staff very attentive and welcoming
Cracking course, great condition, beautiful scenery and has 4 or 5 outstanding driving holes.
Great course
Well worth a visit
Great layout
Friendly members and staff
