Peebles Golf Club
About
HS Colt designed course with good quality turf, greens and the stunning views. It is a prime example of a challenging Scottish upland golf course described as 'not totally flat'.
Peebles is an upland golf course of great character. The air is clean and the surrounding hills provide something of a micro-climate. Of course it sometimes rains and in spring and autumn there are occasional windy days but we get many days of glorious summer sunshine. Bring a sweater and your rain-gear just in case. It is all part of the challenge of golfing in Scotland.
The golf course is not totally flat but the slopes are not unduly demanding. Motorised buggies are available (3 only). Contact the Professional to hire one.
The club has a new clubhouse, opened in 1998 by H.R.H. Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Showers, a comfortable bar, lounge and restaurant await you after your round. The members and staff will offer you a warm welcome.

Really great course
Great condition considering bad weather - nice clubhouse everyone involved in the course really friendly
Nice Course
Nice course with a good variety of holes. Most greens in good condition. Fairways could be refined more and it’s hilly on some holes. Crticism -edges of all the bunkers were scrappy and need cut. Overall a nice course to okay
Ticking off another course
Enjoyable course, with a good mixture of par 3s,4,s an 5s. We found greens to be a tad on the slow side but ran true. Course was in good condition and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, vfm for £19.99. My only critique would be the 3ball in front of us who were painfully slow, but fortunately for us they only played 9. Great reception in the club house and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Peebles golf courae
Very nice course wee bit hilly greens were perfect fairways in cold conditions spectacular views but take a trolly
Beautiful Borders course
Played here in April and decided to return in May. Greeted on arrival by Brian the General Manager who was very welcoming. Had breakfast, in the Clubhouse before playing.
Course is well laid out and provides a good challenge. Birdie opportunities and even an Eagle chance on the short par 5 (9th). First cut of rough was a little longer than expected but fairways and greens were in top condition. Course is on a gentle slop up the hills behind but not overly steep.
Well worth playing if you are in the Scottish Borders or can visit Peebles from Central Scotland.
Great course. Great staff. Great views. Thank you for having us and can’t wait to come back and play again.
Enjoyable game
Great views on a very playable course
Catering very reasonable served in a berry friendly way
Made to feel very welcome on first visit
Lovely course overlooking Peebles and the River Tweed. Met at clubhouse by Brian the General Manager who showed us around.
Course was in great condition and greens excellent for time of year. Fairly hilly but not too strenuous. Would definitely return. Fairways are generous with very little out of bounds trouble.
Great course, great value
Course was in great conditions for the time of year, really impressed with the greens excellent value for money. Will play again
Loved it
Great course in great condition with great staff. Would join if lived there.
My best round 83
Course was in great condition, weather had been thundery and heavy rain the previous day but we were really fortunate to have dry day . Even managed a few birdies which makes up for the two or three treble bogies , the beauty of golf is we always want to improve on our scores and although we hit a really good chip or drive I see it like a bit of fortune or lady luck . Keep up the good work team .
Fantastic day out.
Me and the boys normally play the south Lanarkshire municipal courses so this was quite a step up. Course has everything from red hot greens, tight fairways and daunting bunkers. Thoroughly enjoyed it and At just over an away we will most certainly be back.
