About

SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Greens need to be fixed ASAP

greens have a fungal disease and they need to be fixed. Course has so much potential.

Thank you for your review! We apologize that our conditions didn't meet your expectations. This time of the year when the daytime temps reach into the high 90’s and even 100’s, the cool season Rye Grass begins to die and fade away and the warm season grass (Bermuda) remerges from its winter dormancy. You may see a few greens on the golf course starting this process already. This transition will take several weeks to complete and by mid-summer the entire golf course will be fully transitioned. Then in the fall, the golf course will be reseeded again with cool season grass. This is the annual cycle of golf turf grass in the Coachella Valley. Thank you again for your review and we hope you'll give us another try in the future.

Good day at SRR

I live in La Quinta so, I call SiverRock my home course. We. tee'd off at 7a and completed at 11a. Some of the greens have disease but it does'nt effect playability.

Other than my score, there's not a bad word to be said about the golf course. Everything was there.

Great course, horrible construction

Will not come back to this course until they have a clubhouse, food and the insane dirty construction ceases. We played with a local and they said the construction has been start and stop for 10 years. My car looked like it had been in a dust storm. It is a city municipal course -which poses money issues. The course was good shape, the course requires fairway hits.

Fix the greens!!

SilverRock is always an exceptional course except the greens are bleeping horrible.. worst I’ve ever seen. Rest of the course is in great shape. And the staff is always stop notch

Great Course

First time playing this course and probably become one of my favorites in the desert. It was in great condition. We were the first group out and finished in about 3 hours. The course has its challenges but still gives you an opportunity to get back in it. There’s a lot of construction going with the new clubhouse and resort being built but that didn’t bother any. Staff was awesome as well. Will be back soon.

Silver Rock Round

For late May, the weather was perfect, 82 with a slight breeze. Could not have lucked out more. As for the course, a very fun one to play. There were some greens that were in less than perfect shape (maybe fungus), but it did not detract from the overall experience. Played it for the first time was a little challenging, but exceptional experience. It is a course worth playing. On a busy Saturday. it only took 4.5 hours to play, so the pace was perfect. I will be back.

Silver Rock has kicked my Butt in the past. Today I double-bogeyed the last hole and still shot a 78.

Scenic, challenging gem!

Creative mix of some long and short par 4’s. Plenty of challenging but fair tee shots. Nice carts and solid staff. New clubhouse in process. Awesome mountainside layout. It’s great; it’s going to be phenomenal!

beautiful day everything great.. staff great, several of the greens were not in very good shape like they had fungus or moss or mold. dark black stuff, bumpy weird.

wouldn't have played there if I had known. without that tho it is a beautiful venue great layout

Back 9.....

I can look past the lack of clubhouse or the temporary pro shop. But the redesigned back 9 is ridiculously difficult to play. I had +7 in the front 9, but +15(!) In the back. That just cannot happen. The same pattern held for the other three players as well--pretty much doubled their score in the back 9. Someone needs to look into this.

Golf Vacation Palm Springs 2021

This course was in great condition.

We played 6 other courses while on our golf vacation.

Silver Rock was in the top two of those 6.

Although the surrounding areas were under construction,

the golf course it's self was close to perfect.

Anybody whose ever been to Palm Springs & golfs,

Knows there's plenty of great courses to choose from.

No matter what your handicap is or how much you want,

to spend they have you covered.
