About
SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Great Course
The course layout was very good and challenging. The greens were in need of work. Many had sparse grass and did not roll true

Silver Rock Round
For late May, the weather was perfect, 82 with a slight breeze. Could not have lucked out more. As for the course, a very fun one to play. There were some greens that were in less than perfect shape (maybe fungus), but it did not detract from the overall experience. Played it for the first time was a little challenging, but exceptional experience. It is a course worth playing. On a busy Saturday. it only took 4.5 hours to play, so the pace was perfect. I will be back.

Silver Rock has kicked my Butt in the past. Today I double-bogeyed the last hole and still shot a 78.

Scenic, challenging gem!
Creative mix of some long and short par 4’s. Plenty of challenging but fair tee shots. Nice carts and solid staff. New clubhouse in process. Awesome mountainside layout. It’s great; it’s going to be phenomenal!

silverrock early am
beautiful day everything great.. staff great, several of the greens were not in very good shape like they had fungus or moss or mold. dark black stuff, bumpy weird.
wouldn't have played there if I had known. without that tho it is a beautiful venue great layout

This time of the year when the daytime temps reach into the high 90’s and even 100’s, the cool season Rye Grass begins to die and fade away and the warm season grass (Bermuda) remerges from its winter dormancy. You may see a few greens on the golf course starting this process already. This transition will take several weeks to complete and by mid-summer the entire golf course will be fully transitioned. Then in the fall, the golf course will be reseeded again with cool season grass. This is the annual cycle of golf turf grass in the Coachella Valley. Back 9.....
I can look past the lack of clubhouse or the temporary pro shop. But the redesigned back 9 is ridiculously difficult to play. I had +7 in the front 9, but +15(!) In the back. That just cannot happen. The same pattern held for the other three players as well--pretty much doubled their score in the back 9. Someone needs to look into this.

Golf Vacation Palm Springs 2021
This course was in great condition.
We played 6 other courses while on our golf vacation.
Silver Rock was in the top two of those 6.
Although the surrounding areas were under construction,
the golf course it's self was close to perfect.
Anybody whose ever been to Palm Springs & golfs,
Knows there's plenty of great courses to choose from.
No matter what your handicap is or how much you want,
to spend they have you covered.

Don't miss it
We started with breakfast at the Silver Rock Grill, and it was great, and reasonable. The course was in great condition and challenging enough to make for a fun day. It has become one of my favorites.

Just OK
The greens were in rough shape and other than the 2 club/cart guys the staff was really bad. The pro shop staff was rude. Not on the go back list based on other courses available to play in the area that appreciate the business.

Nice Course Slow Play
WE really looked forward to playing SilverRock. Picked mid week and mid morning tee time thinking pace of play would be fine. Ended up playing behind a group of 12 guys together in 3 grps. Extremely slow play. Had to wait on every hole.. Was not enjoyable.
Considering the price we paid for golf in May we were expecting a much better day on the course.
Have played all over the desert. This was by far the slowest round we have played.
