Cowdenbeath Golf Club

About
If you're looking for stately history and lore in your Scottish golf, don't look at Cowdenbeath Golf Club. Built in 1988, it certainly doesn't have the seniority of St. Andrews, but it makes up what it lacks in gravitas with character and charm.
Located six miles east of Denfermline, Cowdenbeath Golf Club was built as a nine-hole course on the old Dora Coral mine site (the golf course is still commonly known as "Dora"). Cowdenbeath was ready for play in 1991 and extended to 18 holes in 1996. The length is now 6,207 yards.
It's a parkland layout with, what its Web site describes as, "gentle undulations and tree-lined fairways." The site also boasts that Cowdenbeath is a "challenge for both high and low handicappers."
The golf course features only three par 3s, but also only one par 5, No. 17, a 526-yard beast. The longest par 4 is No. 8 at 428 yards.
The clubhouse at Cowdenbeath Golf Club opened in 1998.

Hidden Jewel
Three of us played the course today (we were meant to play yesterday but it was monsoon conditions so we called the course and they switched our tee time no problem) and it was a good round of golf.
Not the toughest or trickiest but for our abilities it was ideal and made the day enjoyable with few lost balls.
Considering the amount of rain the course was in great condition so hats off to the greenkeepers!
Didn't go into the clubhouse as it was shut after our round so can't comment.
Finally I would recommend a round here as it's great value for money.
first time
super course in great condition. Massive greens, A great test of average golfers long irons / woods. Wide wide fairways. Really enjoyable stroll
Surprising gem
Getting a round for £11 left me a little hesitant but man was I surprised. This course is a brilliant value for money, and is wonderfully taken care of.
Brilliant stretching fairways and challenging but fair holes, with excellently maintained greens that have some great roll to them.
Not to mention it's a beautiful course, with great lush greenery everywhere. I'll definitely be back, and have already recommended the course to my friends, the club should be proud.
Great value for money
Last minute game on a Friday night, bit sceptical but that was quickly put to bed. Inviting opening hole with well maintained greens. Absolute steal for the green free. 100% be back 10/10
Good course in good condition. Nice soft sand in bunkers which helps greatly. Even though the wind was around 30mph still a very enjoyable day

This is a very nice coarse could do with a club house
Great course
2 ball, busy day at the course but pace of play was brilliant. Course was in great condition and well looked after. There was no one there at 10am on a Sunday staff wise or a starter but we managed to get in line ok. No scorecards available due to starters office being closed and don’t think it opens until 11am
Excellent value for money as got hot deal through Golf Now. Course was in great condition and we all enjoyed our game. The lad at the course booking us on was super cheery. We will be back 👍
Good course for money
We paid £9.99 for a full 18 rounds and it’s a really good course greens need a bit of work but apart from that it’s very nice fairways are well kept and layout is nice
Dora golf course
Very well laid down course. Greens in great condition. Beautiful parkland that is easily navigated
Great wee course 👍
Great wee course and I would definitely recommend it 👍 However, we did find it strange playing g with just the 1 par 5.
Early tee off
There was someone at the office who informed us we can tee off..and then left.
