Style Parkland
Par 70
Length 6210 yards
Slope 123
Rating 69.9

Thornton Golf Club sprawls across an expanse of wooded parkland bounded by the River Ore. The course is mostly flat, making it easy to walk but don't let the lack of elevation deceive you. The golf course provides challenges for all skill levels, it especially tests players who have a tendency to hook their shots. The river comes into play on the par-3 14th hole, which is the first of a set of five demanding holes. Despite being some of the shortest holes on the course, they are actually the most challenging. Long hitters will have to be careful on these finishing holes. The final hole is longer than most of the course's short par 4s but it is more straightforward. In addition to the interesting round, Thornton Golf Club has built its reputation on the excellently maintained greens.
