About

Holes 18
Type Resort
Style Parkland
Par 68
Length 5168 yards
Slope 116
Rating 64.5

The Dalmahoy Golf and Country Club's shorter golf course is the West Course, which measures 5,168 yards from the white tees. That just makes the par-68 golf course a different kind of test, as it features squeezed fairways and little greens, requiring accurate play. The golf course demands extra accuracy at its end if you're going to find your way around the Gogar Burn's waters.

A round of golf on the Dalmahoy Golf and Country Club's West Course kicks off on Caw Canny, a par 4 that measures 269 yards from the white tees. Coming in at over 10 percent of the course's length is the 13th hole, Lang Dalmahoy, a 536-yard par-5. The final hole is Douglas Hame, a 314-yard par 4.

The Dalmahoy Golf and Country Club offers several stay-and-play packages, as well as golf events and instruction.

Beautiful course

Absolutely beautiful course. Great for a short course and a long par 5. Makes your irons very important.

Tight course also

You'll love it.

Bunkers were lovely and greens too

Great course

Nice compact course. Short par 4s. 16th par 3 is a standout hole. Go for East course if you want more of a challenge

Disappointing

Despite the fact I recorded my all time best score beating 90 it could have been much lower. We had a group of four golfers who started early in front of us with three sets of clubs, we were constantly held up at every tee, we tried to get their attention to let us play through to no avail, what made things worse was that 3 of them were members of the club.

Course was very dry and parched in areas due to the recent and ongoing heatwave. I would play it again as the variety of tee to green makes you think on club selection

Great course but no staff about

Great course great layout and would definitely play again.

My only criticism is my tee off was 5.16pm when I arrived at the car park there is no clear signage on where to go.

I went to the leisure building and asked the reception where I was to go.

The gold shop was closed and they didn’t know but sent me off in the direction of the east course. I met golfers in the car park who set me off to the correct course.

There was no staff and I got no scorecard.

I don’t mind if the golf shop closes at a reasonable time but at least somewhere have scorecards and clear signage to the courses.

aside form the rain that forced us in after 9 holes as we were soaked through the holes we played were in lovely condition, fairways and greens cut to perfection and the play was swift and fast.

Everything was great today, course was in cracking condition- pace of play was a little slow today due to a competition being played but we were warned in advance so it wasn’t a problem.

Very crampt for space

Course was in excellent condition and a lovely setting.

Layout - very tight fairways with golf balls flying everywhere. Tees were right next to greens which made it difficult to play. Good value if you get it cheap otherwise I wouldn’t play again.
