Pumpherston Golf Club, designed by Graeme Webster, offers a superior golfing challenge, including water features over the length of the 6,000-yard, par-70 golf course and R&A-standard greens.

A round at Pumpherston Golf Club begins on Paraffin Young, a 398-yard par 4 that requires a straight drive and attention on hazards surrounding the green: bunkers right, deep rough behind. Hitters unpack long games on Pentlands, the 516-yard par-5 10th, which features a narrow fairway, requiring a straight tee shot; 150 yards from the green, the fairway drops, making a tricky approach. Close the round on Iranapol, another long hole, at 505 yards and par 5, and where water guards the green, meaning that length alone won't help you.

Fantastic

Played this course for the first time yesterday teeing off at 3pm, I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was, as a visitor playing myself it cost £35, but it was money well spent. I thought the course was in really good condition, well manicured fairways and greens and I really liked the layout, I will definitely be going back again and I'm even thinking of joining as a member.

Pumpherston was a lovely wee course with some cracking holes. Greens were in brilliant condition, fairways too. Staff was very friendly upon arrival. The 16th, although a short par 4 is stunning in and around the green surrounded by water. Highly recommend it and seriously thinking about a membership myself.

This course was immaculate

Unbelievable course everything from the tee boxes, to gateways, to greens, even the bunkers everything was in incredible condition. Every hole also had a bin and a ball washer which I thought was a lovely touch. The greens are even ropped off and I have never played on such lush greens before. Amazing course would 100% recommend

First Visit , will be back

Interesting and well presented course with a few signature holes featuring water on the 2nd, 9th and 17th. A bit soggy due to our neverending winter. Will defo be back to get a shot as the course with a bit more run .

Excellent course

Weather not great and play pace slow but only due to playing alone.

Was joined for a few holes by young Callum an assistant pro at Lanark who was a tonic and talented golfer. This course is a hidden gem and that 16th hole reminiscent of sawgrass signature hole. Enjoyed it a lot. I would look forward to returning in full season.

Shallow end

Hello, Signed up as a 2 ball and paired with 2 lads from Edinburgh which was fine. Tees were ok but fairways saturated. Can't blame the green staff as the greens were quite good for February but some holes shouldn't have been on. However for £14 a head it was an enjoyable walk on a course I've played many times before.
