About
Pumpherston Golf Club, designed by Graeme Webster, offers a superior golfing challenge, including water features over the length of the 6,000-yard, par-70 golf course and R&A-standard greens.
A round at Pumpherston Golf Club begins on Paraffin Young, a 398-yard par 4 that requires a straight drive and attention on hazards surrounding the green: bunkers right, deep rough behind. Hitters unpack long games on Pentlands, the 516-yard par-5 10th, which features a narrow fairway, requiring a straight tee shot; 150 yards from the green, the fairway drops, making a tricky approach. Close the round on Iranapol, another long hole, at 505 yards and par 5, and where water guards the green, meaning that length alone won't help you.
Book a seat in the Pumpherston Golf Club's clubhouse early - and let the clubhouse caterer know about any dietary restrictions, which the staff can work with - and head up for lunch and a drink with views of the golf course.

Golfer Reviews
Pumpherston golf course
Enjoyable course to play round. Staff and members were all very friendly.
The course has some quirky holes so putting the ball in the correct place off the tee is necessary or you can be blocked out going for the green.
The 16th is fantastic with the water around the green, I bet there’s a few balls in that pond.
The bar and restaurant were closed for a private function on the day we visited so can’t comment on them.
Overall if you’re looking to play here you won’t be disappointed.
Good course.
Great course, in great condition, some challenging holes, will play again.
Great course
Played a 4 ball here on a Sunday afternoon and it was around 3 1/2 hours round 18 with a good mix of par 3/4/5s
would definitely play here again as the course was in great condition even with recent weather
Great course - well kept
Lovely course beautiful greens well worth playing.
Always enjoy
Course in fantastic shape
Very good value for the money
Fantastic
Played this course for the first time yesterday teeing off at 3pm, I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was, as a visitor playing myself it cost £35, but it was money well spent. I thought the course was in really good condition, well manicured fairways and greens and I really liked the layout, I will definitely be going back again and I'm even thinking of joining as a member.
Pumpherston was a lovely wee course with some cracking holes. Greens were in brilliant condition, fairways too. Staff was very friendly upon arrival. The 16th, although a short par 4 is stunning in and around the green surrounded by water. Highly recommend it and seriously thinking about a membership myself.
It was my first round here, lovely course but of an odd practice area but other than that it was a great round got my first Birdie!!
A lovely course with some challenging holes
Amazing day away from work playing 18 holes with friends on a lovely course with some challenging holes. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Terrific
Had a fantastic day out … terrific golf course. Will certainly be back
This course was immaculate
Unbelievable course everything from the tee boxes, to gateways, to greens, even the bunkers everything was in incredible condition. Every hole also had a bin and a ball washer which I thought was a lovely touch. The greens are even ropped off and I have never played on such lush greens before. Amazing course would 100% recommend
First Visit , will be back
Interesting and well presented course with a few signature holes featuring water on the 2nd, 9th and 17th. A bit soggy due to our neverending winter. Will defo be back to get a shot as the course with a bit more run .
