Linlithgow Golf Club

About
Above Scotland's Royal Burgh town of Linlithgow sits the Linlithgow Golf Club, featuring 18 holes amid farmland and hills, and views of the Ochil Hills, Union Canal and Forth Valley. It's about midway between Edinburgh and Glasgow. The golf course measures 5,863 yards - short enough to not do too much damage to the legs, long enough to require well-planned golf shots.
A round of golf at the Linlithgow Golf Club kicks off on Drambuie, a par-4 333-yard hole that plays short and straight, with a fairway that slopes down with minimal hazards. Things get increasingly tougher: By Deli's Dio, the ninth hole, you're looking at a long par 4, measuring 420 yards. The 18th, Union Canal, is another long par 4, measuring 413 yards, where you'll need to shoot a short carry over a ravine to reach an undulating tree-lined fairway - there's that canal, too, to keep things interesting.
The Linlithgow Golf Club clubhouse offers a lounge and restaurant for dinner, drinks, lunch and snacks.

Nice course
Played on a Tuesday afternoon so course was fairly quiet, although not long, found it tricky especially the shorter front nine where shot placement is a better option than using the Driver. Some lovely par 3s and only 1 par 5 but still a stern test on this undulating course. Greens were good and staff very helpful.
Course in excellent condition pace very slow from 5th hole to 17th hole two groups waiting at 10th tee but still a very enjoyable day credit to green staff for condition of course.
Great value for money . Course in great condition, slow play by members who did not allow us through but overall still an enjoyable day
Linlithgow
Loved the course that much I am considering joining the club!
Played of mats at every hole, course still under repair especially the bunkers .greens very good and the weather was not the best but still had an enjoyable day
Frosty Linlithgow
It was -2'C and I was looking just to get a swing and a walk. There was only another 2 ball on the course. The course was on winter greens which meant I didn't take my putter out my bag. Also it was playing really short. I didn't need my driver until the 9th hole, with a lot of the par 4s playing around 250 yds and with frost 3 wood was the choice on those. The back 9 played a lot better with the 2 par 5s in play and the longer par 4s. I get a buzz out of long drives so getting 50 yd run on a drive was quite satisfying
Well worth it.
Round enjoyed by all. Would play again. Course in good condition, greens were excellent. Nice mug of coffee for a quid in the lounge at the end.
Great Value for money
The day we played was a bit wet underfoot
the greens were in great condition for November although a little bit slow.
The staff were superb from Pro in the shop to Staff in the Bar
will definitely be back
watch out in case you mix up holes 14 & 16 !!!!
we did !!!

Linlithgow Golf Course - Fabulous
My son and I played the course for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hope to do so again before I return to South Africa. Can honestly not fault our experience ... a hilly course for sure and for those who are maybe not as fit as we are (although I am not a youngster) they may want to hire a battery operated buggy.
Great day had by all course in excellent condition
Decent Course
Played in a two ball yesterday, staff very friendly at the pro shop to start with. Course was in decent condition with nice fairways and good bunkers although most of the greens were very bobbly which made judging pace difficult. Course layout was my main issue, number of fairways where it felt like you simply could not find a landing spot as the slopes were pretty severe. Made it a good test but for me but my playing partner who is a beginner found it tough! I would play again.
