What a course this was .although it was on a rainy day played well and will be back . Top class . Had a belter of a day.

As a former member I was really looking forward to playing the course again . I was very surprised at the condition of the course which was amazing . It was a lot tougher and nicer than I remembered.

First impressions were very good. Really friendly staff who let me use the members changing room as they don’t have a visitor’s locker room. Nice little chipping and putting green to practice too. The course seems well maintained too, lot of sand on the greens but the fairways are 1st rate. Unfortunately the thing that ruined it was the scourge of slow play. Going out before me were a 2 ball, then 2 x 3 balls who all appeared to know each other. They weren’t teeing off on time and despite giving them their full time allocation and half of mine, I still caught up with them by the time 2nd tee. I’ll preface this with the fact that I play off 20, hadn’t played for 2 months and had a brand new set of irons that I was having difficulty with. That gives you an idea how slow they were. Refused several times to wave me through and were so rude as to be marking their cards while still on the green. I eventually jumped from the 5th to the 7th which made things a little better but I had run out of time to complete my 18. Clubs in general really need to do more to combat this.

I am conflicted, I did enjoy the course but having paid full price for the 18 holes and managing 6 holes, I am really disappointed. This was a Tuesday lunchtime.

For me, clubs really need to put a senior member or secretary in a buggy to keep an eye on big groups to ensure that if they are playing slow, then they allow players through.

This course grabbed our attention on the golf now app with the photo of the signature 16th hole. The rest of the course was excellent. The weather certainly helped. Greens were in great condition. Can tell the course members look after with no pitch marks or divots. Really enjoyed playing. Slight downside is a few holes are not well marked to show where to go. But as I say, it's just a small grumble. I'm sure when playing the course a few times you get used to it.

I'd recommend this course to anyone looking from a change from their own course. Challenging at times but not too hard. Par 3s on the back 9 are all brilliant.

This course is just fantastic in every way,they should promote themselves in the golf magazines.The 16th hole is worth the fee alone,we will be back.

An absolute gem of a course with a good selection of very interesting holes. The greens were pretty good, - not flat and boring but not overly sloping either. Well-placed bunkers, good water features (complete with ducks and swans!). It even has proper ball washers on every tee! The signature holes (2, 13 and 16) are technically interesting an visually beautiful. The only downside is a couple of long walks between holes but that's all. Will definitely be back there again soon. For the money it's an absolute steal.

Great day out, weather played its part. And goid tough challenging course

The course was fine considering the recent weather extremes. Members showed courtesy in letting a single player through which kept my round flowing. Staff before round explained course layout and after bar staff were pleasant. I shall look forward to returning . signage could be improved. The courses signature hole was suddenly upon me without the joy of expectation it’s a tricky terrific hole make a bigger deal of it my advice. Visitors be aware which hole it is as it appears plain off the tee. Thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended

Excellent day out,really great course with a warm welcome.

The wind was blowing and it was wet underfoot but considering the course was in good conditions. A thoroughly enjoyable and challenging round.

Great course in good condition given recent very wet weather.

Boards at the tees to show hole layout would be a welcome addition given the number of holes with water features/ hazards.

Will play again

Course in great condition with a good variety of holes I didn’t play well but still looking forward to going back
