Marshall Canyon Golf Course is nestled within the scenic foothills that overlook La Verne. The course is seemingly short at 6,110 yards from the back tees but it's not to be underestimated. The hilly terrain provides more than enough uneven lies and blind shots. The fast greens are also some of the toughest in the area but they are nicely balanced by wide, player-friendly fairways. The hard-to-read greens have subtle but tricky breaks that get easier once you've played the golf course before but even then, they still present some challenges. Marshall Canyon is a local favorite not only for the challenging round but also because it's a good value with great scenery. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and will often catch a glimpse of the many deer that roam the course.

This course is great, the pace of play isn’t

I love Marshall Canyon, been playing it since the early 80’s. The layout and challenge are great. Sometimes, especially of late, the pace of play is crazy. The combination of groups walking, some walking, some riding and all players riding needs to be improved. There were tee boxes with 4 groups waiting to tee off.

The scenery and wildlife on the course is pretty much second to none.

was offered a free beer,water or sleeve of balls whoa what a deal to make up for really bad punched greens. also the aprons and most of the course is in dismal shape which is sad because this is a unique place with great potential. called teeoff to cancel and as far as I could get was an automated I CANT HELP YOU WITH THAT. there's a reason I don't renew my GOLFNOW membership.

I really like this course, just hope they get it together because in its current state it is just a dog track.
