Palmer at Geneva National Golf Club

About
The Palmer Course is just one of three championship courses at Geneva National Golf Club. The other two boast well known designers as well: Gary Player and Lee Trevino. All of the courses were carved from the lush countryside along the banks of Lake Como, the sprawling club is the second largest golf facility in Wisconsin. The Palmer Course is the most challenging of the three but the Player Course comes in at a close second. There is less water one this course but it still has a prominent presence throughout. The golf course begins with a tricky water hole, a par 3 that is crossed two by a meandering stream. The 17th is also memorable since it plays right along the lake. There are a few homes lining some of the fairways but they do not distract from the stunning scenery throughout the golf course.

Beautiful course
Loved the course, really beautiful and for “not gray golfers,”was forgiving from senior tees we play. But wish there was twilight rate for 9 holes, which is our usual play.
Perfect day for golf
Signed up for the first tee time of the morning which meant we were leaving around 4am from the Chicago suburbs, and it was all worth it! Day was perfect, staff at the pro shop and starter at the first tee were friendly and engaging even early in the AM. We were scheduled to go off first as a 3 some, but let a twosome behind us go first just to make it easier. After the first hole we never saw them so pace of play was great - saw another 2 approaching behind us at 10 and let them pass as well and still played in 3:20. Couse was in great shape on tee & fairways, and greens were smooth but not lightning fast so fun to putt on. Lot of undulations on the greens - look at the gps on the cart to see the "hot and cold" zones on the greens to plan approach shots. The layout was challenging, definitely more of a shot-maker layout than wide open. Overall a great course and will definitely return!
Great golf day
Played with a couple if Aussies in 3 hrs 30 min. Course was is good shape. Great experience
Great Experience
Played the Palmer course and it was my most enjoyable round this year. Played early on a Tues so pace of play was great, waiting on no one in front nor being pushed from behind. Area received 2” of rain the night before but the drainage is great. Started the round as cart path only but that was removed early into our back nine. Course was in fantastic shape from tee box, fairways and greens. A couple traps were a little packed but again there was heavy rain the day prior. Overall a really great experience. I hope to be back later in the summer.
Great course, great staff.
Played Palmer and Player course. Had a great time. Course looked great. Challenging but fair. Staff were kind and accommodating. Will be back soon!
Amazing Course
This course is even better than advertised! Love the elevation changes and hilly fairways. Greens were fast but fair and I was able to read them well. The tee boxes were almost perfect which was extremely impressive in mid-August. Overall really nice layout and excellent course conditions. 100% will play again

Great course, firm greens
Great course, highly recommend. Great condition with firm fast greens. Only downside is several greens that were downwind and down grain will not hold a quality shot which was disappointing.
We played Palmer and player, loved both courses. The days we played weather was hot, in the upper 80’s and felt like in the mid 90’s. We were hoping to take a shower before our dinner at club house, but very disappointed that there was no showers in the women’s locker room. Otherwise it was a great experience.
Palmer Course
Once again the Palmer course did not disappoint. Conditions were perfect, greens were fast and true. Cant recommend this course enough.
Play the Palmer Last
Fairways greens excellent condition. Course demands using all clubs in the bag and playing smart golf. Zach thought this is the best of the three courses
