A FAVOURITE

Dalmilling is always one of our Favourites in South Ayrshire. A nice course for always a good price. We very much like to play there.

Two points to improve:

1) there were two Trolleys left for rent but we didn‘t get one because we returned after 2.30 pm when the Manager was off duty. Strange,

2) The course is too trashy. Bottles, Cans, etc. Lying around the Tee Boxes and even along the Fairways. There should be more environmental awareness.by Players and Staff

Nice day out.

Really nice course and a very friendly and helpful welcome, especially as I was late due to the sat nav not finding the course! Be careful to use the correct postcode, KA8 0QR

I was lucky to play on a quiet afternoon in sunny weather. Besides a moderate wind it was very good golfing weather and the course is lovely. A good mix of holes and long enough to be a challenge. Its nice and flat mainly and Ill be back with my dad who is in his late 70's as a result. The greens are mainly pretty good for the time of year with only a few a tad sandy. The course is otherwise well maintained. A good day out and will be back again, the highlight the wee par 3 over the burn, I managed a 2...always nice!

Disaster at Dalmilling

What a shame! The website photos do not portray some of the pitfalls of golf at Dalmilling.

The proximity to a main road and local housing estate are not pleasing on the eye. Our experience on the first tee ( first impressions etc) a local youth with an aggressive dog off the lead rampaged around the teeing area and continued through the fairway. There were numerous walkers and dog walkers throughout the course meaning waiting times before hitting a shot. To cap it all I had the unfortunate experience of my ball coming to land in a bunker having previously been used by said dogs as a dumping area. We will not be returning to Dalmilling!

A gem

Played this course for the first time with my father, who plays this course regularly. Impressed with the course condition and has a good variety of hole types including hitting over water and dogleg fairways. Good length of around 5500 yards and fairly flat, although a couple of blind shots requires. Good value at £20 weekdays. Will definitely play again. Clubhouse under renovation at the moment, so limited facilities available. Recommended

Childhood Course

Played this course countless times when I was a teenager and love coming back a few times every year. Went out just before 8am and there was a three ball in front who played at a great pace. Course was in really good condition with plenty of roll even though it had rained for a few days prior. Always find the first a test and thoroughly enjoy the first 8 to help me warm up. Never even lost a ball today which is a novelty. Highly recommend.

Good day slow play

This is the second time we've played here recently, competition being played on the ciurse. We were not in the comp, but four ball games in comps is way to slow.all other courses I know have comp days play three ball.

Enjoyable day

Played the course for the first time on Saturday 24th.

Good enjoyable day weather was fabulous.

So lots of good run on fairways.

Greens were fairly good. We really enjoyed the day.

Not knowing the course layout was slight issue, but got lots of good info from starter and fellow golfers.

We were two ball round in 3 1/2 hours. Played slowed near the end as we met lots of four balls playing of medal tees.

Nothing to complain about really. If you are considering playing here I would recommend, we will most certainly be going back.

Enjoyable round of golf

The young woman starter was extremely pleasant and helpful as was one of the customers. It’s a very good course with interesting short holes and testing but not too difficult longer ones. Anybody would enjoy this course especially since it’s inexpensive.
