For the time of year the the course was in great condition

Lovely course that promised to play well in winter and didn’t disappoint. Friendly welcome, fairways and greens dry and well maintained. Highly recommend.

Carnwath starts with 3 par 3s in the 1st 4 holes, driver needed on the 2nd, you have to start on your game. The challenge continues with accurate driving needed to position for approaches to well protected manicured greens that roll true. The fairways and green surrounds have good grass (better than the tight lies I usually see on the links). There are impressive views across surrounding rolling hills from the elevated tees that make a perfect setting for this well laid out course. Overall it’s a gem of a course.

The hospitality is top notch, with service, menu choice and food all good, I can’t recommend a visit highly enough.

Arrived nice and early for our tee time went to the pro shop to book in said we could go early before a 4 ball ( happy days) the course was in great condition bunkers everywhere😂 however strategically placed for all levels. Greens were tricky fairways nice. Hilly in places great views though staff were lovely only downside was the not so considerate driver parking which blocked my mate from getting access to the drivers door. Great day though a course worth playing

Met by very friendly staff in the Pro shop and got away slightly early. 3 of first 4 holes are par 3s and they are a good challenge. Course was in brilliant condition with fast greens. Got a free run with no hold ups so really enjoyed the course. Fairways were immaculate and green staff constantly tending to the course throughout our round. Great day and would recommend to anyone. We left after our game so can't comment on the catering but I'm sure it would be good, given the positives of everything else.

We had never played Carnwath before but had heard good things about it. We weren’t disappointed. The course was in great condition and the range of different holes and layouts was really refreshing. The greenkeepers must work very hard as the greens and off areas around the greens were immaculate. Some of the elevated greens were tremendous and had great views. The staff including the pro and the bar staff were very friendly and inviting. We rightly got told off on the first tee for having our trolleys on the tee box. This just goes to show how much the members look after their course and it really does feel like a welcoming place to be.

Thoroughly enjoyed our day out at Carnwath, course was in excellent condition for the time of year, only thing I would say is that navigating between tee boxes isn’t the most straightforward if it’s your first time playing the course, could be a bit better sign posting but still thoroughly enjoyed the day and would definitely go back 👍🏻

Considering the time of year and the recent weather the course was in good condition. It stands up well to the rain. Managed to play 16 of the holes, with no winter greens.

Staff and local golfers always make you feel welcome. Most holes are enjoyable and playable, but not too keen on the 8th tbh. It's a big climb to the green, but you are rewarded with a nice elevated drive on the 9th.

Great course that won't disappoint.

Best greens I’ve played on this year. Played this course about 5 times and just keep coming back. Well worth a visit if you haven’t played it.
