Balmore Golf Club

I was never advised on booking or the starters office that some winter greens were in play. There was no consistency, some were and some weren't. On arriving on the tee, we were approached my a member to advise to not take trolleys in certain areas. That was fine and we followed this, then we were chastised for not being away at 1 min past our tee time, later the same member approached our group to complain to the people we had been paired with to make a 4 ball that they weren't following another club rule. Another few holes later we could here him loudly complaining about out our group and that he hadn't seen us here before. Never had anywhere near this hassle playing at numerous other courses. Also buggy hire was off apparently because the course was too wet, the course was dry as a bone on the faraway. At least that's something good to say!

Balmore is a gem! Very pretty golf course in tremendous condition. The membership and staff were really friendly which made our day a memorable one. Will definitely return.

First time I have played this coarse and was really worried as we had 5 inches of rain in the last 36 hours so thought the coarse would be flooded. We could not believe it as the coarse was almost dry and in beautiful condition. We had a lovely lunch before we went out and I asked the pro if we could go early and he said if you can get ready and go now there has been a cancellation. Brilliant treatment.

As great as ever, great condition, great staff and bags of fun to play.

Played this course for the second time and loved it. Fairways and greens in pristine condition. Course layout excellent and a great mix of challenges within the round. Pace of play very good, with our two ball round just over 3 hours.

Only let down was the staff. Due to personal incident, out arrival at the course was going to be only a few minutes before scheduled tee off time. We phoned ahead to enquire if we needed to check into shop or if we could proceed to tee due to contact details being on record through golf now. Staff member was very curt with my friend on the phone and told us we had to check in at shop. Proceeded there for the staff member within the shop to complain and be quite patronising regarding our time keeping and basically saying we couldn't tee off. Managed to navigate the situation bit left a sour taste.

really enjoyed my visit to Balmore, considering joining so played to remind myself about it. Good Condition all around, The car park seemed in particular very busy, so i could not be sure how easy it would be to get the tee times I would want. liked the look of the practice facility again seemed very busy, poss. down to good spell of weather, people on holiday, college and universities off, I shall maybe arrange to play in the autumn and see how busy it is then

Course in excellent condition. Relatively short so maybe not for the bombers with 6 par 3s. Great course for those of us that want to get round in just over 3 hours with lots of interesting holes.

Difficult to fully review as weather awful so we only managed 3 holes but what we saw/played was excellent

Very nice course in excellent condition, greens were in super condition. Interesting course with no weak holes.
