Tundra golf

Played on an icy day in January. Public holiday so no staff around. Winter greens but course still very enjoyable. Good condition despite heavy rain recently.

Cardross on a Tuesday

The weather was overcast but not cold and the coarse was in tip top condition. Fairways were short and lush with a fair variety of roughs that didn’t overly punish a slight stray. Fairways were being blown as we played so fairways were nice and clear of flotsam. Greens were smooth and very fast if a little hard which meant hitting the green rarely meant staying on but that’s just sour grapes. Good warm up and practice facilities. We didn’t go in the clubhouse so can’t comment on that.

A very enjoyable round of golf.

Excellent

V friendly and helpful welcome from staff. Course in good condition. Greens a joy to putt on. Quick and true. Typical Braid hallmark with tricky approaches and hard to read breaks

Superb Golf Course

My wife and I were looking for another course to play after playing The Carrick a couple of days earlier. We read a few reviews for courses in the area and Cardross seemed promising so gave it a go. We were not disappointed, the condition and layout of the course were excellent and it has lovely views from many vantage points. We found it fairly challenging in places and it has many height variations so a fair degree of fitness will be required for those over a certain age. There is a very nice clubhouse with very helpful and friendly staff which made the whole experience one that we would like to repeat at some point in the future. It really is a hidden gem and well worth a visit giving many more high profile courses a run for their money.

Great day

This is a cracking course, quite hilly in parts if you struggle. Well worth it for the views you get, great course layout. Highly recommend this course.

Not played cardross for a while, course was in fabulous condition, greens a bit slow but visually looked great.

Highly recommend!

Beautiful parkland and views. Saw a couple of deer headbutting each other! Not those boring forward and back holes. Great elevation changes. Amazing greens, super fast and 'wobbly! Probably some of the most complex I have played (a lot of 3 putts..!). I would 100% travel to play here or make it a destination if I was in the area.

My only suggestion would be if you are planning to make a day of it, (ie not rush in rush out...) book through the pro shop, they can then accommodate you and you are able to use the driving range and chipping area. (Hence to 4 star for off-course amenities) but this in no way detracts from the fabulous course!
