Golfer Reviews
Fantastic asset
Played Dalmuir on Monday and Thursday, hadn't booked for the Monday but lady starter was very accommodating and we teed off within 10 minutes of arriving. This course was under threat of closure but thankfully has been saved. I have played this course many times over the years and it is a true favourite of mine and my brother who lives in Bristol and will drive up over night and meet me there for a game. Much work has gone into keeping the course in tip top condition and I would thoroughly recommend it.
Best community run course in the country
Sensational golf course, in the best shape its been in for many years. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Amazing value. Will be going here regularly.
Ridiculous layout and really hilly
I really did not enjoy this course. The layout was awful. Continually crossing over other holes/fairways to get to the next tee. The most ridiculous part was between the 13th to the 16th. 13th is a huge uphill, you then have to go down a fairly steep hill with no path to get to the 14th. The pin for the 14th is then on a separate hill, you you have to drag your clubs/cart down a very steep hill, then back up a steep hill with no path to get to the tee. Then you’re back down that same hill to get to the 15th, then back up the first hill to get to the pin. After that it’s a fair uphill walk to the 16th. Wild!
Value for money is unreal
Beautiful course. However be ready for some serious hill climbing.
A great variety of holes
A great course for the cost and in fairways and greens were in a good condition.
Dalmuir
It's a very hilly course with nice wide fairways. My only gripe is the amount of folk who just skip on.
Stands up well
Heavy rainfall made it spongy underfoot in some areas but course in fantastic condition, municipal course that stands up to any private club course in the area.
